Good list— I might add George Thorogood to it, though ;)

Well played but it's waaaaayyyy too annoying to hear an electric guitar in an orchestra.
It's sort of like seeing the pictures of 20 Playboy Bunnies......surrounding a 70 year old Hugh Hefner.

No Jerry Garcia? And they misspelled Warren Haynes, who is now Jerry’s replacement....

The worlds greatest guitar certainly would not come from rock.
Maybe blues, probably jazz.

Malmsteen’s technical skills are masterful. Very few can do what he does and watching him perform is immensly entertaining and inspiring. But it is like watching a skilled gymnast. His playing has no soul, no feeling. Only speed and mathematical precision.

Interesting that so many of the great guitar players owe Muddy Waters such a debt of gratitude. Maybe he belongs on the list for his impact on so many other guitarists....

The Grateful Dead recruited Warren Haynes? That’s an interesting choice.
To: cranked
a few missing from that list
Frank Zappa
Jorma Kaukonen
Bill Nelson

Andrés Segovia, Larry Carlton, and Phil Keaggy aren't even ON that list.
Yup. Phil Keaggy has my vote. He was awesome in concert.
