Amen.
Wow. This is huge. This is going to send the gay and transgender nazis in a w-whir-rl. Of course this is a no duh moment for most of us here at FR. Thus all these programs and federal and state and local monies spent on these surgeries and hormone shots etc ate just enabling the illness.
True perhaps but it does take them out of the gene pool
Captain Obvious finally makes an appearance among psychiatrists.
Try selling these people on the fact that no matter what they do... no surgery will make them look like the opposite sex, ever.
This is a lot of words for what most people know already-you have to be disturbed mentally and emotionally to mutilate yourself with a sex change.
That is a good article, and the one GID case I know well fits perfectly within its perspective.
Interesting and cogent.
Something I would be interesting in seeing researched is the long term health consequences (10-20 years) of the surgeries and associated hormone use. Seems to me that there would be much higher risks of heart disease and cancer.
Addadictomy’s just dont work.
It’s mutilation is what it is.
A long read, but worthwhile.
At one place I was working (as a consultant) they had a guy who went through this nonsense. There was a “special meeting” which I boycotted to discuss the nature of GID and why they will let this guy wearing a dress use the woman’s restroom.
I have always felt exactly as the author states: GID is a psychological disorder, not a physical condition.
It is a long read, so anyone just scanning should pick up on this interesting passage from the OP:
>>In his therapeutic treatment, he came to understand the origins of his inability identify with his masculinity. Then he worked on forgiving the men and boys who had hurt him in his childhood and in his adolescence, especially his father and his brothers. In working with a spiritual director, he slowly came to experience God as loving father who could protect him, and to develop a relationship with St. Joseph as a role model of male love. A major goal of treatment was to help him see his own masculinity as a positive gift from God.<<
True. You can change your outfit, but you're still the same person underneath.
A miserable homo will still be a miserable homo. Their bodies will be all scared up, but they'll still be a homos.
Interesting article. Dr. Fitzgibbons has some right and some wrong in it. I’m glad you posted it.
Have long felt this was true.
This is a very interesting article. Thanks for posting it.

This is true.
I’ve only known two people who went though sex change surgery. One person I knew well. He -> she eventually committed suicide. The other one I only know professionally and he -> she seems ok at least in the workplace.
I’m an American Bison trapped in a human’s body. Will 0bama Care cover species reassignment surgery for me?
I am trapped in an aging body....help
