At the gun shop I go to they have a 2 box limit on handgun ammo. The supply was down on 7.62x39 and 54 - got the last 2 boxes of 30.06. They still had some cases of .223 and shotgun ammo. was picked through. This was about 2 weeks ago. I imagine it hasn't gotten any better.

Ya know, the funny thing about it is that guns are basically a projectile at high speeds.
Basically throwing rocks at each other.
Much, much faster, and more accurate.
Lead rocks.
Don’t get me wrong. I have more guns than cars. And I have plenty of cars.

I have a mix of calibers in my basement but the toughest one to find is .380. I just got 60 rounds of .380 from an online source and paid more than I ever thought I would.
I can't believe the manufacturers can't meet the demand. Somewhere there is an induced shortage holding up production, IMHO.

I reload and buy online....
It took me a month to get some components...and I still cant get others. I am awaiting 2lbs of powder via UPS today and will get another 3 lbs in about a week. Primers were impossible to get online, but I found them in a store who jacked the prices way up.
bullets for certain calibers are impossible to find. I do have 150 lbs of lead and some molds for low velocity stuff like pistols, low power rifles like my trapdoor springfield and muzzle loaders.
I am looking now for jacketed bullets to load for certain calibers.

We are being asked what would be the stance of local law enforcement if the federal government calls for the confiscation of firearms, Hoffman said. Simple answer. Have a pocket Constitution and ignore it!

I noticed he didn't answer it.

Does anyone remember that just before the Bush Administration let out the huge new military contracts Congress banned import of some ammunition?
I don’t remember what class of ammo it was, but I thought it might be to clear the decks for the military contracts.
Doews nayone know when the military contracts will be fulfilled?
