Does their ‘moral code’ include not eating my remains when I fall down the cellar stairs and break my neck and am unable to feed them for a day? LOL! I highly doubt it.
I love my dogs, I love my cats, I love my chickens; But. They. Are. Animals. No soul.
Anthropomorphic hogwash.
But, let’s not forget the Robots, LOL!
“What about machines? Eventually we will build robots having many human qualities, including the ability to talk and to take the point of view of others. Again there is debate. Some roboticists say building humanoid robots will help us learn about people. Humanoids might interact better with people than more machine-like robots would. Others are aghast at this claim.”
I always tell my wife that if we died at home, the cats would be feasting upon our remains before we’re ever found.
ROBOTS GOT SOULS!
Reads as if you might benefit from observing your creatures more closely.
Would you agree your beloved animal was created by God, maybe He even had it planed to bring you together? Again most Christians would say yes, God created our pets.
Is God bound by any rules that prevents him from recreating our beloved pet when we get to Heaven? Our little puny human minds could not even comprehend the wonders he has in-store for us. Having our beloved pet waging his tail for us as we enter the Kingdom is not beyond Gods power.
Is that your only benchmark for the existence of morality? Whether or not something eats your corpse? That's a pretty odd one--and there are human cultures where eating the corpse of a loved one is considered a sign of respect. I guess humans lack the capacity for morality, too.
Oooooooh, you’re going to get flamed for that!
I agree, though. I love my dogs dearly, but they’re still just dogs.
Gee, you must be a delightful person to be with.
Glad you are all knowing..and know explicitly that there is no spiritual connection among God’s creatures that aren’t human. wish i were that “smart”.......
Just call me Anthromorphically Challenged and still in awe of God’s mysteries.
Guess you have never heard of humans, in dire straights, ( ie trapped in an avalanche, etc) eating their human counterparts...guess the hunger must be stronger than their ‘souls”.
i would never presume to state which humans will make it into heaven; nor would i categorically state as an objective truth something that NONE of us has any way of knowing.
