A randy couple were nicked as they had a steamy sex session — on the Queen’s front lawn.
Crowds of astonished tourists watched as the drunken pair stripped and got down and dirty on a private grass bank at Windsor Castle, where Her Majesty was in residence.
They kept at it for 20 minutes before armed Royal Protection Squad officers stepped in to take down their particulars.
The pair romped in daylight beneath the castle’s Garter Tower, in full view of hotels, pubs and shops over the road. Some onlookers cheered them on while others shouted “disgusting” and called cops.
Several Japanese tourists FILMED the session, giving running commentaries to their instant “blue” videos.
And last night the couple — described by police as respectable people with respectable jobs — were said to be “mortified” by their actions.
Witness Sue Cook, 24, said: “I expect when the woman woke up the next morning she died of shame. She’s a porn star now.”
The lust-filled lovers were aged in their early 30s. After stepping on the grass bank the man peeled the trousers off the attractive blonde woman, then dropped his.
The pair were soon writhing, moaning and groaning — unconcerned by the 100-odd people watching.
Whoops from some spectators alerted Irish Guards sentries, whose barrack room overlooks the lawn.
Witness Mark Robinson, 44, said: “One window from the guardroom opened up and when a soldier saw what was going on he told his mates — and lots of windows opened.
“The couple did not care who was looking and just kept going as if they were in their own bedroom.
“They even ignored the Please Keep Off The Grass signs.
“A few soldiers were geeing them on from above and plenty of young people did the same from the roadside. There were camera flashes going off and people videoing.” The two protection squad officers arrived in an unmarked Range Rover, accompanied by a police car.
They confronted the couple, who were still going. Mr Robinson said: “The officers told them to stop and the sight of the uniforms seemed to snap them out of it.
“They were unsteady on their feet and the guy pulled his trousers up and helped the girl put hers back on. The Japanese tourists were comparing their videos and jabbering away.”
A Windsor Castle source said: “The Queen was in residence at the time, but her private apartments are at the other end so she would have been blissfully unaware of it.
“She was not particularly amused when some years ago a couple were caught bonking in a tree in her back garden — Windsor Great Park.”
Police said the pair were put in cells overnight to sober up before being cautioned for outraging public decency. A source added: “When they woke up they couldn’t believe what they had done.”
How soon before the ACLU opens up a British chapter and files a lawsuit saying the authorities violated their civil rights by stopping them?

Wow, the cops showed up in a Range Rover. I guess that is why the incident went on for so long. No mention of the wrecker pulling it.
