We're taking care of my 84 year old Mom at our place, supporting our 19 year old son on an LDS Mission to Edmonton, Canada, spending as much time as possible with our 6 grandkids, and getting ready to retire in 4 years.

...and, oh, BTW, keeping my web sites up to date (JEFFHEAD.COM is a portal to most of them) so I can continue to inform others, and starting a new book. Whew! Life is grand and busy!

What’s the most on this thread so far? Anyone break the 100,000 post mark yet? I suspect at least a few Freepers have broken a quarter mil. ...and perhaps a half mil.

Don’t know about the 1/4 1/2 million but the 100,000 should be topped by several of the freepers. I remember some had 50,000 or so a few years ago. Some of those have moved on also........

17 threads and 2,962 replies since June 21st, 2000.

rabscuttle385, do you (or anybody else) know how to see only the posts (not the replies or “pings”) that I made.

I bet those 17 threads are a long time ago. Probably something to do with HRC’s run for the Senate in 2000. It would be fun to look them up again.

More importantly, have we made a difference?

More importantly, have we made a difference?

A fair enough question.

The March for Justice on 10/31/98 got the ball rolling on impeaching Bill Clinton when 4,000 Freepers and cvarious speakers held a rally at the Washington Monument. The House impeached Bildo less than two months later--only the second time in history that this happened. We did not know then that on Feb.12, 1999, a corrupt Senate would refuse to do its duty and convict the President on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice.

We were there on the ground, especially in Palm Beach, FL after the 2000 election, keeping Algore from stealing the election. Freepers came up with the famous "Sore-Loserman" graphic that went viral.

In 2004, our support of the Swifties helped derail John Kerry, and Buckhead's famous expose of the Texas ANG memoes trotted out by CBS helped to discredit the media, the Dems, and Dan Rather all in one fell swoop, causing Rather's eventual resignation in disgrace.

In 2006-7, we helped fight back the amnesty legislation twice and got the wall built--or at least started, til Kay Bailey Hutchison once again betrayed us and took the mandate for the wall out of the legislation.

In 2008, we helped John McLoser get his 57 million votes by coming out for Sarah Palin in spite of our misgivings about McCain. Otherwise, it would have been more of a blowout than it was.

In 2009, many Freepers helped get behind the Tea Party movement and make it a success.

So, did we make a difference?

Hell, yes we did. And we are not finished yet.
