Nice try. Not gonna happen, though.

There’s always a ‘damned if you do / damned if you don’t’ factor with anything political.

Obama doesn't need this...8 years for himself, then 8 for Michelle.
Maybe they can undo the 22nd by declaring some of the ratifications invalid. Surely some of the states which ratified the 22nd amendment were guilty of discrimination against African American voters, so their ratifications shouldn't count.

"The same bill has been introduced in every Congress for the past 20+ years. It has never made it out of committee. And even if it did, it has the hurdle of passing 3/4 of the states. In other words, aint happening, so stop worrying." I wasn't aware of that. I still worry though. I wouldn't have thought it possible for congress to pass a pork-laden $700 billion dollar plan without reading it first.

But after he was elected. I expected this the day after he was elected, not two months later.

The legislation is just an acorn now. But one day..........
Never mind about the state ratifications. Somehow, we believe, even this is possible\s.

What spooks me is how the fed’s use the IRS against American citizens and all the surveillance's that's goin on.
Not only that, but if you speak up, the government attempts to ruin you through smear campaigns.
Joe the plumber is a prime example. Even the woman that came out against Clinton. Heck, several of’em. They all were audited by the IRS.
To: pgyanke
No! Repeal the 17th!!
Yes!!! Let's get our Republic back!
To: trumandogz
“The Republicans pushed the 22nd through to get back at FDR and the only thing they accomplished was to deny us a third term for President Reagan.”
We were spared a possible 3rd term of idiot Bush.
I like the 22nd.
To: trumandogz
P.S.
Reagan already had Alzheimer.
I don’t have doubts he had it before he left office.

I don’t think there is any way that GWB would have been re-elected in 2008 if he had been eligible...but Clinton might have been able to get a third term in 2000. Most Presidents have a harder time of it in their second term (already true of Washington, Jefferson, and Madison) and wouldn’t want a third term, apart from the insanely narcissistic ones.
To: The Good Doctor
I’d prefer to repeal the income tax one.
