Can only be done by the states as in passing an amendment.

That took longer than I thought.

Good luck! It will have to pass both the House and Senate with a 2/3’rds majority and then be ratified by 3/4’ths of the states.

I may not have said it thatway, but that idea was the first thing that came to my mind...

Also to 3/4 of the states must repeal unless declared unconstitutional by SCOTUS. Cut and dried.

The Republicans pushed the 22nd through to get back at FDR and the only thing they accomplished was to deny us a third term for President Reagan.

Whatever. The only way Obama or anyone will serve more than 8 years is when the Constitution is replaced.
Need 2/3 states approval for ammendment.
Not gonna happen.
Unless ACORN is counting the votes

I'd bet that if one were to do a little research (which I am not going to do because I do not care enough about it), one would find that some crack-pot member of the
House of Reprehensibles from one party or the other (depending upon who is president) introduces something like this almost every year. It most likley gets shot down or ignored, and is then filed away in the Dead Legislation Office until some other crack-pot (or possibly the SAME crack-pot) reintroduces it in the next session.
But that's just a guess.

unless his holiness the messiah gets the backing of the military and declares marshall law....then we are no longer America.
It feels like that now.
