THE Daily Record has uncovered the only CD ever made by Scotlands singing sensation Susan Boyle.
It emerged last night that Susan, whose Britains Got Talent triumph has made her an instant superstar, is being lined up for an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show which would give her the chance of a number one album in the US.
But the Record can reveal she made her first recording back in 1999, when she sang blues ballad Cry Me A River for a charity CD.
Only 1000 copies of the disc were ever produced, but weve got hold of the long-forgotten recording and its now on our site. A showbiz insider said: This is a real coup for the Record. The whole world would have wanted to find this.
People will be scrambling to get their hands on this CD. They will be like gold dust soon.

I really wish she wouldn’t go on Oprah. I detest that woman (Oprah).
Beautiful voice. Thank you!
Has a very early-Ronstadt sound to it.
I was teary-eyed watching her Britain’s Got Talent performance. Thanks for sharing this earlier recording. What a beautiful voice!
Linda Ronstadt
Well - cannot stand a minute of Ophra. So there will be one less viewer and I will not buy anything that is promoted by Ophra.
My daughter’s were just telling us they watched the video in school and had a talk about it. “Don’t judge a book by its cover, etc.”.
My wife wants me to watch the video with her later, so I’ll wait until then. But my one daughter said “Dad, you have to see Susan Boyle - it’s unbelievable, she sings SOOOOO pretty. The other daughter pipes up “She’s not very pretty, but boy can she sing!! She hits these high notes like Laaaaa!!!” ;)
I’ve watched that about 25 times. She is truly a special gift in these very dark times we are having. God bless her.
I love the Nelson Riddle collaborations she did.
True standards. And alot of those songs are not easy to sing by a long stretch.
Thanks! I just heard the Les Miz song tonight - she is incredible.
The voice singing that torch song congers up the vision of a completely different person. That said this was even better than what she sang in the contest.
Bump for later listening.
Sorta like listening to Linda Ronstadt sing, then being subjected to her moon-bat rantings between songs.
Be sure to watch the whole video, beginning with the show setting her up to be laughed at. In this superficial world, this was a great real-life success story. I don’t watch TV often, and I never watch shows like American Idol. But, the video of Susan Boyle was worth watching.
Hippy Nookie!
I was thinking more of the slinky ladies of the 30’s and 40’s leaning on the piano smoking a cigarette.
This is fantastic! Thank you.
