I got hooked on this talent show gal (apparently like millions of others) and this Scottish paper dug up what is supposedly a 1999 charity recording by Susan Boyle. I'm no expert but this is no fluke, imho.

Check this song out by the lady from Britain. She was amazing in 1999, too!

Excellent, I see what all the fuss is about. Even though I have to say I prefer the sultry Julie London version of this particular song better.

Good GOSH!!! I don’t care what she looks like, that gal can sing!!
If you just heard that song, you would think tall blonde gal in a slinky dress on a piano.
Wow is all I can say and I want to buy her album because she can SING!

Amazing voice. Amazing woman. She has pleasing facial features — she’s just chosen to remain natural. I rather like it.

Funny how both Boyle and Potts won on good old classic tunes. The music that will never be out of date. I enjoy both their talent and perserverance and would love to see more of this music come back.

I just listened and think Susan Boyle has a very lovely voice. Thank you for this link. I saw the UTUBE of Susan Boyle and thought she was great there as well.

What a joy to hear a beautiful voice of someone who can sing. Such a relief from the drivel of rap and rock. This woman has more talent in her little finger than all the bodies of all the rapsters in the world. I can't wait to hear her first solo album. I will buy it for sure.
