Not even sure if VHS-only models are still being made (though there are some VHS/DVD combos); mine is a Sharp from about 10-15 yrs ago

some VHS/DVD models, many of which are probably OK

or poss. try Ebay...or a garage sale...Another poss. for you, though I’m not sure how much it costs, would be to find someone who will do it for you. Sometimes you’ll see a store advertising the conversion of VHS to DVD

I’ve been doing things like converting out of print cartoons to DVD then uploading to YouTube

When standing and making a talk in front of a group in a room where the clock is not visible (behind me) or is non-existent. That is where a pocket watch or wristwatch come in very handy. Sitting your wristwatch on the lecturn makes a good clock substitute.

It isn’t about “megapixels”. That’s marketing working on you.

Even Canon’s developers got frustrated with that bar of measure. It’s all about the optical sensor.

Technically, that's true. However, as I wrote, for 95% of camera customers the difference is moot.

The best commercial photosensors are now more or less equal to or better than 35mm film for resolution. Their prices will decline and resolution will continue to improve.

Film will soon be a specialty item for use by a small minority.

I remember in high school we all had to give presentations with our family trees. We were assigned a sheet of paper with a blank tree to fill in. Well, I made a mistake and had to use a bunch of white out. The opaque machine could not display it. That was 1988 and I haven’t seen one since. Teacher’s expression was priceless...LOL...thanks for the memories.

Why wear a wristwatch? Because it looks a lot better than a barbed-wire tattoo and I prefer to see my life skim by analogically on a vintage Bulova.

That division of the Texas Nation Guard just had a copy of MS-Office and a Windows computer that was borrowed from Area 51. They had retrieved it from the Roswell crash.

As long as there are Mennonites, there will be dial-up Internet access.
