I was troubled to learn that Hawaii has suffered one of the worst winters for tourism in some time and has even appealed to the state's most famous alleged native son
Hawaii’s tourism took a serious dive when the “0bama Birthplace Tour” got canceled when no one could figure out at which hospital he was actually born...
One person’s historic landmark is another person’s national disaster site.
So - how is the free-market system suppose to work? When demand for a product or service falls, the price for said service or product falls as well to the point that either consumers then desire that product or service, or until the product or service provider has to shut down.
I know people who have been looking at putting some travel packages together to Hawaii - and I have heard that the prices don’t reflect the supposed market conditions... that prices are still very high.
Don't you mean when one couldn't figure out which COUNTRY he was born in?
Cure for Hawaii’s tourism woes

Hawaii is a super expensive vacation destination. When they make themselves more affordable the tourists will return. The Hawaiian natives are agitating to get Federal recognition as an Indian tribe so they can get a casino monopoly. Our new Kenyan nation destroyer just might make this reality
Now that is an excellent point.
I could care less what happens to Hawaii's tourism industry. It was probably the bluest state of them all during the November 2008 election, so they can be wiped out by a tsunami for all I care. The only folks I would be worried about are the military personnel who are assigned there. The rest of them can rot.
As for the casino business, they've been talking about it for years. Let's hope it never happens, it will ruin a very special place.
It may be the bluest state , but it’s water is some of the bluest in the world . I went to the Big Island in March 2008 and fell in love with the place . If I had the dough I’d move there in a second , despite its being a blue state . And there is no worry about Mexicans walking in ...unless they figure out how to walk ON water .
I wonder if Mr. Farah has seen pterodactyls flying over Hawaii.
If so, that would boost tourism.
The best thing for Hawaii is for all law abiding constitutional believing citizens is to boycott the state until the state produces BO birth certificate. When you pressure the state in it’s pocket book it will figure out a way to produce the elusive birth certificate.
Could not have said that better myself.
Money is a big motivator. If everyone who has thought of visiting the islands and have gone somewhere else because of this point contacts the visitors department of Hi, then when they start counting up how much of a liability BO is to their tourist dollars they will think twice of their stance on this matter. Yes many will say it’s not legal to expose his birth certificate and I would say it was not legal to declare independence from England either.
If BiBarack would just admit he really digs guys and told his fellow gay buddies to go party in Hawaii, all would be back to normal (except for the used condoms in the public bathrooms not that that would matter as they are usually nasty on Oahu.).
Most famous alleged native son Barack Obama is not KOOL.
We went to Hawaii about a month ago. We used frequent flyer miles for the plane ride (awful) and then went on NCL cruise. I saw the option of going on the “Obama Birthplace” tour advertised; immediately said oh yeah, like he was born here, anyway. Suppressed my repulsion; and went on to something else.
