One too many mornings, yeah, I love that one. There’s not much he’s written that I don’t like.
Tangled Up in Blue
That one is enough for me.
Neighborhood bully
Anything Blood on the Tracks
Early one mornin’ the sun was shinin’,
I was layin’ in bed
Wond’rin’ if she’d changed at all
If her hair was still red.
Her folks they said our lives together
Sure was gonna be rough
They never did like Mama’s homemade dress
Papa’s bankbook wasn’t big enough.
And I was standin’ on the side of the road
Rain fallin’ on my shoes
Heading out for the East Coast
Lord knows I’ve paid some dues gettin’ through,
Tangled up in blue.
She was married when we first met
Soon to be divorced
I helped her out of a jam, I guess,
But I used a little too much force.
We drove that car as far as we could
Abandoned it out West
Split up on a dark sad night
Both agreeing it was best.
She turned around to look at me
As I was walkin’ away
I heard her say over my shoulder,
“We’ll meet again someday on the avenue,”
Tangled up in blue.

...as far as the post-70s tunes not already mentioned goes.
Most excellent list. For me the best song is Visions of Johanna. The contenders for second place are many.
Knocking on Heaven's Door
Lay Lady Lay
All Along the Watchtower
And the cover versions are better except for Lay Lady Lay, which was very heavily produced for a Dylan song.
The Man In The Long Black Coat
As long as I don’t have to look or listen to him, I don’t care!
And you don’t ping me????
B^(
One More Cup Of Coffee and Hurricane from the lp Desire.
While I truly love many of his songs mentioned here, nothing surpasses ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ for the transforming song it was and is.
I remember hearing it for the first time, where I was and what I was doing. It’s that kind of song for me.
So many songs, so little time. Yes to all of the above, and here are some that have not yet been mentioned.
I’ll Keep it With Mine
If You See Her, Say Hello
Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues
Mr. Tambourine Man
Señor (Tales Of Yankee Power)
She’s Your Lover Now
One Of Us Must Know (Sooner Or Later)
My favorite Dylan song: ‘Lily, Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts’.
Hands down.
Also: ‘Sara’ and ‘Girl From The North Country’ are in my top ten.
Whoa! Almost forgot ‘Buckets of Rain’!
Ahh, what the heck - - there’s too many masterpieces to list....
