Spector Retrial Verdict: GUILTY Justice for Lana Clarkson at Last!
Associated Content ^ | 4-13-09 | Bobby Tall Horse

This time the jury did not ignore the habit Phil Spector had of playing Russian roulette with women. After so many times of "playing" the game, Lana Clarkson was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time with Phil Spector who's luck had run out. With a chance to find Phil Spector innocent, guilty of 2nd degree murder or involuntary manslaughter, the jury found Spector guilty of 2nd degree murder.

That guy is wacked.

someone with a lot of money to cover up a clear mental illness.
from what I have seen, he was a nut case back when he married Veronica Bennett.

I agree.
Like Tall Horse says..what must it have been like for Clarkson family to sit in court, not once but twice, listening to how unhinged and suicidal she was. They knew better!

RIP Lana.

I am so sick of the poor writing skills. In just a brief skimming, I saw this:

Lana Clarkson was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time with Phil Spector who’s luck had run out.

&&&
Let’s see: Phil Spector who is/has luck had run out.

Is that what this person meant to say?

I took that to mean that after a long period (years) of playing this so called game with women..he lost the game. Of course Lana died. But up til the verdict came in this afternoon..a lot of people were betting this verdict to go the way of the first jury.

In my mind, Spector never figured on actually killing Clarkson that night. He just over played his sick game. Lana lost..that’s a given. But finally this ego maniac has lost. I don’t care how it’s worded. Phil Spector is headed for prison. His musical abilities, money and fame did not save his butt this time!

From a different article.

“The judge denied bail and Spector, wearing a fire-engine red tie and pocket square, was taken into custody after the verdict was announced. He also wore a “Barack Obama Rocks” button on his left suit lapel.”

“He also wore a “Barack Obama Rocks” button on his left suit lapel.”

Another a-hole looking for a bailout.

15 to life means he’ll be 82 when he gets out even if he gets the minimum.

“Is that what this person meant to say?”

Yeah, I had to read that a couple of times, too. Either the writer is guilty of a dangling participle or left out a comma after “Spector.” In either case, it was Lana Clarkson who’s luck had run out, not Spector’s.

I worked several times with Phil Spector in the early sixties and even then he had a mania for waving guns around in the studio. One time I remember him scaring the crap out of his assistant who bumped into him while coming around a corner while Phil was holding an automatic. The assistant, by the way, was Sonny Bono who if he were still alive would surely have some great stories to tell about this psycho.

Justice is done for someone who got away with too much for too long, though he clearly is not fully in his right mind.

Actually, I think he wrote “who’s” when he should have written “whose”. No dangling participles were harmed in the production of this piece, as far as I can tell.
