Spokane parks to detonate squirrels

So the Parks and Recreation department is going to use a special machine to detonate some of the 100 to 150 rodents that are tearing up the grounds.
The machine is called the Rodenator Pro. It pumps propane and oxygen into the tunnels of squirrels, then sends an electric spark that causes an explosion. The shock waves kill the squirrels and collapse their tunnels.

This sounds like Digger (ground) Squirrels but I think they should let the Navy Seals put on a shootin exhibition...

Some days I just hate everyone. Unimaginable that adult human beings would blow up squirrels and others would applaud such cruelty. Poor little limbless squirrels will be suffering and bleeding.....horrible.

If you live in a region where the ground is really hard, this isn’t a wise method. The little buggers tend to tunnel where it’s easiest, and in a yard that’s where the sprinkler system pipes are. The heat from the blast will ruin the pipes and cause you to have to repair/replace them, at large cost.
