Welcome to the (I guess) official thread to the 73rd playing of the Masters Golf Tournament from the Augusta National Golf Club. Now the game that we love and it's season is now officially, let's see who will be walking the 18th fairway ready to slip the coveted green jacket on late Sunday afternoon.
We all know who's in the field. While I'm posting this thread early, we can discuss and predict who's going to win.

I was thinking the same thing......
Man we know where our priorities are!!!
ABSOLUTELY RETRO.......but not done contending in majors. Not even close!!!
GMTA!
LOL - I never saw that photo before. Priceless!
“I would say the US Open or British Open is more difficult to win than the Masters.”
It doesn’t matter. There are harder cycle courses than the Tour de France, but the Tour de France is universally recognized as THE premier cycle event.
Wimbleton? Same thing for tennis.
Same is true of the Masters. Sure there are harder courses, and tournaments with more competition, but at the end of the day none of them carry the same prestiege as winning The Masters.
Even the most casual golf fan around the world (I’m talking people who don’t even play golf) knows who won The Masters. I doubt those people have any idea who won the US or British Opens (if they even know what those events are.)
Everyday people that don’t even play or follow the sport will talk around the water cooler about who won this year’s Tour de France, Wimbleton, and Masters. These events are just in a league of their own. Trying to deny that is just trying to deny reality.
Congrats!
I have been many times... maybe, 10?? Both to the practice rounds and to the tourney, and.. frankly, I prefer the practice rounds.. At Augusta, seeing the course is more important than seeing the players... and, during practice, you get to see the players trying all kinds of different things...
Two suggestions...
1) Walk the course, from #1 to #18.... take your time, but.. go see all those holes (3-5) that you seldom see on TV,
2) Be sure to spend some extra time on #16... it’s by far my favorite place to sit and watch the action... On the hill, just behind the green (Under the camera Tower) on the side where Tiger made his famous chip-in.... It’s a GREAT spot!
Have fun... have pimento... and, enjoy the experience!
Looks like great weather every day except maybe Friday!
If this pool is just for the Master’s, you can drop JB Holmes, cause.. he didn’t qualify.
More information about Cink's "twitter updates" please.
Thanks. I could have sworn I saw him on the invited players list. That would have hurt my chances of winning for sure!
Not sure if you’re asking more about what Twitter updates are or about his in general, but you should be able to see them here, even if you don’t have an account:

He’s usually pretty good about updating after rounds, so I’m looking forward to his updates this week.
I was sort of asking about both - how do you twitter and how do you follow Stewart’s twitters? Thanks for the link, I went there and registered and was able to read his messages. Interesting.
Once you’ve registered and are looking at his page, you should be able to click the “Follow” button and then anytime he updates, it will post on your own page.
Lol! I did good to find his page. Now I’ll have to go find mine.
Here’s some trivia - there is only one palm tree on the Augusta National property. What hole is it on?
That was pretty cool getting to read some of Stewart’s thoughts on twitter...
