Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized in Los Angeles since Thursday, the latest setback in her long battle with cancer, PEOPLE has confirmed.
First diagnosed in 2006, the 62-year-old actress has undergone chemotherapy and aggressive alternative treatments in the past.
She saw her cancer go into remission, then return in May 2007.

I came close to losing my mother last year to appendix cancer. Terrible. Now I’m a nurse, I’m caring for little old ladies with cancer who have families who’ve opted for no treatment. Very tough to watch because it reminds me of what it was like before she went to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Fawcett, however, chose to travel to Germany with O’Neal for embryonic stem cell cancer treatment not available in the U.S.
This treatment in Germany has been filmed for a possible reality television show.
On Sunday April 5th, 2009 it was reported that Farrah was rushed to a hospital where she was in critical condition.
How sad... I wonder if her choice of treatment was influenced by her Hollywood friends?
The delusional& Luddite attitude that prompts people to go abroad to seek unproven and/or false cures because they believe that the evil corporations here have hidden the "real" cures has led more than one person to their death.

To me, Farrah Fawcett wasn't at all attractive. Reminded me of bony gristle with chemical hair, sharp corners, and raspy looking lizard skin, along with beady little eyes.

It sounds like colon cancer, but melanoma sometimes shows up first “where the sun doesn’t shine.” Nasty melanomas on the rectal area or anus are too common. Given all the exposure to sun that she had, Farrah would probably be a good (poor word, under the circumstances) candidate for melanoma.
Sorry to hear that Ms. Fawcett is having to fight for her life. Prayers up!
i used to watch that show with my older brother... he's about 15 years older than i am... he would get home from work and we would watch The Rookies... i was probably 9-years old or so... on another night we would watch Kung Fu...
