I came close to losing my mother last year to appendix cancer. Terrible. Now I’m a nurse, I’m caring for little old ladies with cancer who have families who’ve opted for no treatment. Very tough to watch because it reminds me of what it was like before she went to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Bless you, cyborg. Nursing is such a wonderful profession. One of our young men, father of two, is applying to a nursing school near us. He’ll make a great nurse. I keep telling him they need dialysis nurses big time around here.
