The ponds are brimming, green is showing up all over, the birds are nesting, give thanks, Spring is here!
My yard crew was busy yesterday, I tested a new camera on them. I finally moved up to a DSLR, A SONY A-200.
I'll just eat a lot of beans and rice this month to pay for it, LOL

Great shots, wish I could send you some from my area. Had to put bird seed on the barbecue because the normal ground feeding stations are under two to four FEET of snow. Roads throughout the state were closed late yesterday because of the spring storm.
I try not to gloat, it is really beautiful here right now. Hurricane season is coming though!
I just got the Olympus 12MPx Ultrazoom 26X model, but cannot get our flicker to sit still. He's skittish and flees as soon as I show up. (Probably because the cat sits in the window and stares at him.)
The head and shoulder portraits of the chickadees are nice, but drab.
Mr. Cardinal is turning red though. Maybe in a few weeks.

I guess what we had is coming your way. This is the third winter storm in two weeks and each one has been worse than the preceding one. We are buried. It took five hours to dig out of the one on Monday, where I could get a car, van, or truck out of the driveway. This one is way worse.
At least where the hurricane is concerned you live in the right part of Florida. You can always escape North if you have to.

But the birds are singing their sweet song and loving the bird feed I scatter for them. Got to get a bird feeder.
Mom used to live in Ft Myers, and managed over 30 years not to sustain any storm damage to speak of. Moved her out before the big three hit a few years ago. Still didn’t hurt her place. Florida has been pretty fortunate over the years except maybe for Homestead, Port Charlotte, Pensacola, Ft Walton, maybe I better stop before I run out of towns.

I’m jealous, here in the NYC area it’s still cold and nasty out. Where is the global warming anyway ? It seems like it’s been cold in NY City for a year now.
I took these last weekend.(Panasonic DMC TZ5) Alas, it is snowing again now.
