She was very sick. I don't know if I did the right thing.
I'm pro-life, but I feel like such a hypocrite.
Being pro-life, I assume you have a relationship with God. Your precious friend is purring in the lap of the Savior. She waits for you there, I assure you.
Ask the Lord to give her a kiss for you. He will. As happy as she is now, she knows you miss her.
Hardest thing I have personally had to do in a very long time.
After three months of mourning and appreciation for a long friendship ended, Jack, a 15 week old Siamese is part of our family. As I write this to you, he is curled up asleep in the crook of my wife's elbow and I know he will become a big part of our lives as Pedro was. He is no substitute for Pedro, but the time had come to move on. It will come for you too.
You will be reunited with your beloved kitty in Heaven.
Have a blessed Holy Week.
My sincere condolences...
I’m very sorry for your loss. I’ve had to do the same in the past. While you might not feel so now, it was the right thing to do.
All too often, people keep thier dogs and cats alive for themselves, disregarding the pain that creature is enduring. That is selfish.
You showed love and compassion thru out your friends life,so you did the right thing.
It may be hard at first, but as long as you have memories, your friend will live on.
I am so sorry. It’s an awful thing to have to do. I am nursing a cat now who was in kidney failure. He is coming back and I am so glad. But to keep a dying cat alive is just cruel. I hope you heal soon.
My Tucker had diabetes (for 4 years) and his kidney failure (CRF) was worsening. I did my best to save him. I had given him insulin in the morning but his body was so ravenged that he went into shock and convulsions by the afternoon. He passed away in his sleep under very good care.
He had a very bad day, but only 1 very bad day in his 15 years, so for that, I am thankful.
I know that you made the right decision. We all try our best to spare the members of our family as much pain as possible. You promised to take care of your baby and you did just that. S/he has crossed the Rainbow Bridge with My Tucker and they are frolicking in the green grass and warm sunshine.

It would have been cruel to let her suffer. You did the right thing.
You did the right thing. I had to do this a couple of years ago and it was the hardest thing I ever did. But you were with her to the end and she kenw that.
Condolences on your loss of your cat.
I wish now I had had my beloved Purty put down..She died in my arms on a Sunday..It wasn’t easy. May you be comforted.
It’s such a hard decision to make (I’ve done it twice) but believe me, you did the right thing. May the Creator grant you peace, good memories and when the time is right, a new furry friend to share your love with.
Beautiful poem there, there are times I do feel my lost pets are close to me. I just had a dream that Pansy and Greystone came back to me. Pansy lived to be 19 years and 8 days and Greystone had kidney failure, he barely made it to 5, both died in 2006.
If you were with her, you eased her fears toward the end. I’ve done that for mine before. Actually, I felt like I waited too long on one of them
I agree with the first post. If kitty was sick then, even though it’s one of the hardest decisions you ever have to make, you did the right thing. I had to put a dog down once and I cried for days. Not fun but just think, now they are free of what ailed them and they are waiting for you to join them. I personally take a great bit of comfort from that thought.
I’m so sorry ....but do not feel like you are a hypocrit. I think we instinctively know when it’s time to end their suffering. It’s the last act of kindness we do. I an sure they are all waiting for us in the end......wouldn’t be heaven without them.
