Farrah Fawcett has been hospitalized and is in bad shape, sources close to family and friends tell RadarOnline.com exclusively.

She has been battling cancer for three years and recently returned from Germany, where she had experimental stem-cell treatment. Sources tell RadarOnline.com that she is critical but stable in a Los Angeles-area hospital.

Long-time love Ryan O’Neal has been by Farrah’s bedside, as has troubled son Redmond, who bolted from rehab earlier this week.

Farrah was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and later pronounced cancer free at a press conference.

It is not known whether she will survive.

Ohmygosh yes, I tried for Farrah’s haircut back “in the day,” and ended up looking like a poodle. Wow, she seems young to be so ill. Hope she gets better.

"Sara Spigot." LOL!

Did you later go through the Dorothy Hamil fad? Sis and I both had those haircuts, too.

I don’t get my medical “facts” from Google searches, but I’m not surprised that’s your advice.

No one knows precisely what causes cancer, which is why you should not claim that you know VD does.

I can’t even believe this has to be reiterated.

I know and when I see people on here trying to allege that an individual did get a “specific” cancer because of “specific” activities, I want to scream. If things were so simple, then all promiscuous, deviant types would have hideous cancers and no innocent children would ever have any kind of disease or cancer.

People can get nasal cancer, mouth cancer, lip cancer, and it can go on and on; it’s not just the biggies we all know, e.g. colon, breast, pancreatic, liver. People can get cancer IN their ear or ON their ear. There is even a cancer of the vulva. Unreal.

ACS site says: Infection with HPV increases the risk of developing anal cancer.

Increasing risk and causation are not the same, pal. Try and preach elsewhere. If cancers were 100 percent due to lifestyle, then evil, debauched perverts would have horrible cancers - pedophiles would all have penile cancer or other sexual cancers, but it is not so. Behaviors do have consequences and there is no doubt but you are stretching so far, you must be Gumby.

The treatment Fawcett received in Germany was experimental embryonic stem cell derived therapy.

Yeah, there’s some slimers floating around these days.I hope what they have basically wished on others returns to them ten-fold. A@@holes don’t even have enough class to shut up. I went on a rant about a guy once a long time ago here that passed, but I didn’t take glee in their condition, and I had enough sense to STFU about it before it got out of control.

It doesn't make sense, which leads me to believe that the reporters are either wrong, or it's a scam. Now, if stem cells are being used to rebuild her intestinal tissue that would be believable, but, even then, I would think that they would use adult stem cells.

Yes, they seem to take smug pleasure in the suffering.

The American Cancer society page states:
Almost all ( more than 99%) cervical cancers
are related to HPV.

http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/content/CRI_2_6x_FAQ_HPV_Vaccines.asp?sitearea,

Everyone here can call me vulgar names, and use the peer
pressure argument but that does not change the facts.

Like I said if people did not pretend about these things
we might be able to help our children, friends and grand
children to avoid the horrors of the mistakes that WE are
suffering from now.

Unfortunately the majority of cases are. Talk to any OB, google, etc. Certainly not all. AND unfortunately it can come from HPV contracted MANY years prior.

Yes. I think genetics is a HUGE factor (we see this in dogs—its’ easier to track I suspect because of the short generation time). Certain activities would make some cancers more likely, but they are clearly not the entire picture.
My Mom died of renal cancer. She had none of the known risk factors (including family history). Her’s was extremely aggressive. No one knows why she got it. And I”m sure we never will.
