After the G20 wives wowed us with their style prowess yesterday, Michelle Obama and Sarah Brown appear to have stumbled in the glamour stakes with today's choice of clothing... Yesterday's dazzling J. Crew outfit may have won her praise from the hard-to-please fashion press - but the bizarre cardigan sported by Michelle Obama at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden today was rather less well-received. The First Lady kept her famous toned arms covered in the asymmetric creation by Japanese designer Junya Watanabe, which featured a garish argyle pattern and was embellished with yet more sequins. A far cry from her signature sleeveless shift dresses, Mrs Obama also wore a teal-coloured full-skirted prom dress by Jason Wu.

That’s got to be photoshopped. There’s no way she wore that. It’s so bizarre, my six year old wouldn’t pick it.
Please tell me Bo’s wife isn’t wearing GREEN shoes with her blue outfit (with sweater mis-buttoned).
Are you sure the last name isn’t Sanford as in Sanford & Son)?
Yikes can you imagine that :)
The woman has no sense of fashion, heck she walks like a plow horse.
Yumpin Yiminy that’s an ubly sweater. Michele is channeling Mr. Rodgers.
Fashionista ping to you.
I’m sorry, but neither of those women are wearing clothes that flatter.
Give that woman some posture classes!
Oh dear.
Oh my, The Angry Black Woman is being pigeon-holed as a clothes horse, an Object to be dressed and critiqued. Seems terribly ironic that the party of sexual equality is dabbling in such things. LOL...
OK- I’m no fashion plate, but that’s just ugly.
The blue dress looks fine, but a sporty sweater over it?
The problem here isn’t just the clothes she likes, it’s how
she wears them- awkwardly.
I’d rather see her in full, colorful, dashiki’s- or African inspired clothing= than stuff she’s obviously not comfortable
wearing.
She’s not a pretty woman- no fault of hers-but she should realize that her casual taste doesn’t apply in the circle in which she now finds herself. Not at all events, anyway.
I thinx those might be the same teal “Jimmy Choo” shoes she wore at the inaugural swearing in with her babypoop yellow dress and snot green gloves
the Brits have noted she has yet to take off the faux pearls
maybe the obama family ought to use some of its stimulus rebate to get her some new earrings or something
meeeow :-)
Thanks. I don’t get the back of Michelle Obama’s sweater, and the tones of blue don’t seem to match, but her outfit far outweighs Mrs. Brown’s jersey thing. Mrs. Brown needs a three-way mirror at home.
Ladies, can you imagine being followed by photographers who took pics of your backsides? I’d be mortified.
LOL! I wonder who pinned the tail on the.....nevermind
I feel bad for her. Being a Senator’s wife is MUCH different from going to a big shindig in Londoninum. Probably borrowed it from a staffer (500 people went, someone must have had a sweater). AT LEAST she didnt go to Milan or Paris. They would have been brutal. I do wish Prince Phillip could follow them around though- I love his expression from yesterday...
