Joe, I commend you for having the sense to not post this in Breaking News. You’re head and shoulders above most other FReepers. May God have mercy on the cat.

Click the link and there is a different cat.
Zot recommended!

Cut the tree down. The odds are in the cats favor of living through it, and the best thing is that it won’t go up in that tree again.

Hey idiot cat-owner: call a tree service. They have guys who climb trees for a living.

I'm sorry, but this reminds me of those begging for help after getting themselves into trouble with their mortgages.
Cats are like liberals, they do what they want and expect us to bail them out when consequences loom.
Nobody enjoys watching the consequences. I hope the cat comes down so no humans have risk their lives to try and save it.

I recommend putting a big trampoline at the base of the tree in case Kitty falls asleep and loses its grip and comes down that way. Hopefully it will land on the trampoline.

And sometimes even after fancy dinners, gifts, perfume, etc. you still can’t get it.

hire a crane or a cherry picker. It will cost but you will get your cat back. A small crane will probably cost you 1 to 2 k for half a day.

All the guy needs to do is bring an extension cord outside, attach an electric can opener, and open a can of catfood.
The sound of the electric can opener tends to attract cats.

My dad always said, you never see cat skeletons in trees. The cat will find a way down when it wants down.

Cute kitty. If I want my cat to immediately appear, I open a can of salmon. Canned salmon might make the cat brave enough to come down.
