West Haven (WTNH) - A West Haven cat remains stuck in a precarious place.
Tigger has been stuck high-up in a tree on Canton Street. His owner, Chris Green, told News Channel 8 the cat climbed up there on his own this past weekend and is now too scared to come down.
The cat is clinging to one of the huge tree's thinner branches, around 100 feet up, and all the while he's crying out, apparently frightened.
"I've been trying to shake food, get up on a ladder," said Green. "I called police, fire, the humane society. They said it got up, it will come down."
That’s a great story. Abandoned pet stories tear me up.
My wife, when we first married, was one who could abandon a pet. Of all the things a newlywed couple can fight over, that was the one that pushed my buttons.
Now, after having had several Dogs and two cats in the last seventeen years she would cuss you out if she were to find out that you abandoned a pet like that. LOL
She hadn’t ever had a pet to bond with, to feel the love from, or to love, herself, and there isn’t a week that goes by, now, that she doesn’t come home with a toy or a special treat for our Dogs.
I sure hope that your baby lives a long, happy, and healthy life.
Our cat is a rescued cat. She was either abandond or a runaway. She wandered into some friends’ backyard. They tried to take her in, as they are “crazy cat people” (their words) but she was too much of a prima donna and didn’t get along with their other cats. So I took her in.
She’s the sweetest and most wonderful thing ever. Unless she’s in a feisty mood, then watch out! (She’s sort of like my wife in that regard).
LOL!
Has anyone ever seen the bones of a dead cat in a tree?
Cats can only back down a tree once they go up.
They can’t go down head first.
Claws are curved in only one direction.
LOL— I can just imagine the look on the Mastiff’s face when he saw your Dane coming through the screen door...
I only saw his rear end till he got up in the tree. LOL
bass-turd
and double to you,Joya! Asking with piety for mercy in your tagline while showing none in your post for one of God’s creatures.
“Bless both your hearts”... in the best Southern meaning of that phrase.
Whooooooooooooaa doggie!
I’d have paid good money to see that!
