I never thought the day would come when I would even semi-agree with Susan Estrich, but when I read her column this morning, I had to nod my head a couple of times!

Why is Susan Estrich so concerned about the Governor of Alaska? Or the Governor of Louisiana? These people have their own jobs to do.

When one party controls the Presidency and both houses of Congress, it is only natural that the opposition will not have a defined leader until a the next Presidential primary season is well underway. We’ll pick our leader in 2012.

I am convinced that Susan Estrich and the rest of the Left wants a designated leader for Republicans so they can get busy with the demonization and personal attacks. Making arguments on the merits is a losing game for them, so they would much rather attack Rush Limbaugh’s waistline, Sarah Palin’s hairstyle or Bobby Jindal’s accent.

So it is probably just as well that we don’t have a leader, for the time being. If that means that commentators, such as Susan Estrich, will have to make reasoned arguments instead of just ad-hominem attacks on our “leader”, I can live with that.

"Imagine how different things might be right now if there were a Republican Party. I mean a party like the one led by Ronald Reagan, George Bush or Newt Gingrich

It was the first Bush who started the slide and Gingrich turned out to be a flake.

I know ... and knowing Susan Estrich, the pureblood, broken glass Democrat through and through, I think maybe she’s trying to help demoralize Pubbies, as if her party’s doing so great .. LOL.

We won’t let that happen. There will be hope on the horizon .. I don’t know when or from whom, but this type of radical dismantlement of traditions and conventions always results in the pendulum swinging back. Soon, I deeply hope. God be with us and bless the patriots we don’t even yet know who will lead traditional conservatives with integrity.

This bimbo, unfortumately, is right. The next two elections should be a walk-off for the Republicans, given the Obama/Reid/Pelosi performance so far.

I still don’t know the Republicans’ message. Is it “we belong to better country clubs than the Democrat elites?
I do know the Democrats - socialism and government control.
Where is the new Contract With America? Where are the three Reagan princilples?

Sadly, John McCain is still the voice of the Republicans.

I don’t agree with her because I have heard the same rant a couple of times lately. They just want you to believe we are dying and talk radio is dying.

Don’t buy it for a second. This is just PR magic from the Lefties.

Susan has a good point....and I'm glad to have read it instead of listening to her make it.

Republican wannabes and the RNC know all too well the slander and smear tactics employed by the DNC and ACORN. Running for office is risky business normally but these days it's abnormally so. We had had some good candidates during the last cycle and the choice was determined by fraudulent voting; the loss too.....and topping off the shenanigans, a smear campaign on Sarah Palin who was stronger and had more character than the front runner.

Happy (belated) Birthday, West Texas Rose. Sorry I missed it this weekend.

Hi LuvW :)
I have to admit too, she has a point. I can hear her whiny voice, as I read. ;)

I've been waiting for months now for the outrage too. A fight from Republicans for our side. Sad part is, we are still waiting.
