It seems that there was no neurosurgeon at the local hospital, and no medical helicopter in the entire province of Quebec, so once she fell poor Natasha was doomed, even if she had asked for immediate medical assistance. It seems almost unbelievable in the 21st century, but that's what socialized medicine brings you. Death.
Ms. Richardson did not crash into a tree.
“But, how does this also explain the deaths of, both, Sonny Bono and Michael Kennedy, who were two other people who died after crashing into trees”
You can’t be serious!
It also fails to explain the deaths of JFK, Bobby, and Dr King.
Natasha Richardson had an easily treatable emergency injury, and could be walking around Manhattan now if she had been operated on quickly. In Quebec she had no chance at all!
OMG! There WAS NO HELICOPTER available......those FRENCH CANADIANS are SCARY.
I said it yesterday if she had fell in the U.S. there was a higher probablity that she would at least have had a fighting chance to survive. Expose the truth of socialized medicine before Obama gets it passed here in America.
True.
But she walked into the hospital conscience complaining of a headache. You would think that triage would put the fall and headache and then losing conscientious together and do an MRI. Well that's if it had one and if the staff knew how to use it..
I can’t improve on the previous comments so suffice it to say the situations are completely different. I think you have been sufficiently answered on this question.
Agreed. And she sent away the ambulance that could have saved her.
Heck, we’ve had two life flights recently just to save perps shot during the commission of their crime in our sleepy part of Florida. None in the whole darned province? Or couldn’t they find one with bilingual flight controls?
“He said if she had went to the hospital in an ambulance directly after the accident, they would have done a CAT scan and most likely would have seen the bleed. They would have repaired it, and she would have been just fine.”
Nice educated guess, but it turns out they don’t deal with head injuries at that local hospital ( not in the government budget I guess ), and the only option is a 2 1/2 hour ambulance ride to Montreal ( no helicopters ). Sorry, but you die!
In Canada it takes like six months before you can get an MRI ... that’s why they come down here when they can get it in three days or less ....
Her mother Vanessa Redgrave is a far Left British actress who would applaud Canada’s and Obama’s socialist medical care, so, what goes around just might come around to bite ya
I wouldn’t say that, Dr. Walter Williams beloved wife had a similar thing happen to her and she was minutes away from a major trauma center.
NONE in the entire Province......geesh..
Its just that SOCIALIZED MEDICINE!
Whats with celebrities and ski slope accidents? jeezus I remember Sonny Bono, and I used to work at Heavenly Valley many years ago.
I’m sorry but is that supposed to mean something?
I don’t know that facts surrounding this, but I can easily imagine someone wanting to take a chance than deal with socialized medical care.
Perhaps it’s a body bag?
Well, I am not from Canada. You are probably right. That brings us back to the fact that at this time, if that would have happened in the US, Baden would have been right.
Sad
Do you think the MSM will cover the failed Canadian health system? Just as soon as they cover the tea parties!
“so, what goes around just might come around to bite ya”
I wish it bit that horrible British communist Vanessa, and not her sweet American daughter who was so completely different than mom.
