What's Behind Dick Cheney's New Attacks?
time ^ | Thursday, Mar. 19, 2009

Dick Cheney has never had any qualms about defending the Bush Administration war on terror or criticizing Democrats' alternative approaches to national security. But the former Vice President's vitriol-spewing turn on CNN last Sunday has left many in Washington wondering if it was about more than just protecting his legacy.

But the former Vice President's vitriol-spewing turn on CNN last Sunday has left many in Washington wondering..

Gosh!

"vitriol-spewing"

"many in Washington"

Not exactly objective reporting, and the ethereal "many in Washington".

Washington is the most liberal city (after Detroit) in the Nation.

One would expect that "many in Washington" would wonder.

If Washington had a high school graduation rate greater that 30% maybe "many in Washington" would not wonder.

You Said: "...I don’t think that Barry and his teleprompter are happy."

Response: Never has any person been so wrong as this statement indicates. Everyone knows it is the teleprompter!

I don’t know, but we need someone strong that can take the heat until some more of our young conservatives can get their acts together.

That is why I like Cheney and Palin out there, I think that they can take the heat that the media would be throwing at us no matter what. Jindal is out there too he knows that he has time to shake this stuff off and in the mean time he helps Rush, Palin, Cheney, keep the media off balance.

Conservatives need a little healing breather to get our movement together and these guys are serving as the visible targets while we get it together.

You have to admit they are a pretty good face to be putting on conservatism right now.

Dick Cheney is a great American and a patriot. Let Leaky Leahy and the other asshats hold hearings on his alleged mistreatment of terrorists. I’d rather have Dick Cheney talking back to them than any of the Casper Milquetoasts who make up the Rockerfeller wing of the party. It is a question of when, not if, we get the next terrorist attacks and the terrorists enablers deserve to be hung from the nearest lamppost when it happens.

I thought that you were going to disagree with me. I was relieved to see that it was only a matter of blaming the wrong person. It should have been the er...uh, let me think... uh, you know, the ...teleprompter guy is unhappy.

But if he was trying to deflect attention from Bush-era policies, Cheney's aggression will likely have the opposite effect. "If his goal was to tamp down talk of a Truth Commission, he has probably exacerbated the problem,"

Cheney is the Truth Commission.

Exactly. The first thing I thought of when I read those words: “Maybe it’s about more than just protecting his legacy.”

If you and I are afraid of having a Communist Maoist Jihadist in the White House, how must Cheney feel, with all that he knows?

"I think you’ve got it."

I don't see how the MSM can keep a straight face any longer with Obama's $2 trillion dollar budget deficits, inability to get the banks going, spending money on useless liberal pet projects, and just generally not even knowing where all the money is going and who is doing what with it. Not to mention unemployment continues to increase while the stock market looks like road kill.

Dick Cheney just tells the truth - dems think it’s an outrage. The other thing is Cheney doesn’t have to pretend to be “above it all”. He’s too real for that bullsh-t.

When the TRAITOR Leaky Leahy suggests a “Truth Commission”, why does it sound like something from Red China during the Cultural Revolution?
