I do want to make my yearly complaint at this point again though. It is entirely unfair, in the age of studio manipulated music, to make unexperienced singers make their mark in a live two minute performance and judge them like you would a remixed, rebalanced pop artist that has hours and hours of studio time. Especially when some of the performers have been on the stage since they were young kids and about as professional as it gets.

But you did find that pink heavy. Kudos for that. :)

American Idol producers are definitely putting the best performers at the end of the show, and for good reason, it’s a weak bunch overall.

“Kris gets my vote tonite.”
I agree ... but he’s not gay, AA, or blind. AI has a production problem and lack of talent, IMO.

Kris Allen
Kris Allen has the pimp spot tonight. Didn't he have it last week too?
His song is "Ain't No Sunshine"
He says he "wants to have a moment" with this performance. So he's forgoing the soundless guitar and is borrowing Matt's stand-up keyboard. He's also accompanied by three or four people playing stringed instruments on stage.
Randy: You've been slaying them, dude. One of the best of the night.
Kara: Three words: That is artistry!
Paula: Playing to your strength. You took a thirty year old song and it was like I was hearing it for the first time.
Simon: Showed more confidence. That was a very very good arrangement of the song.

But I don’t like Adam, even if he is probably going to win.

Anoop Dawg. How is that not karaoke?
Tattoo Joy Couldn't hear her over the popcorn maker. That's ok, though. Popcorn is yummm!
Singing Fish Best of the night. I love that guy. "Gimme back that filet-o-fish, Gimme that fish!"
Danny Gokey Sprouting some fur on his chinny-chin-chin. He's a good singer, and it was a solid performance, but the song itself is a yawner.
Allison, the Red Iraheta No Doubt. That was good. The dress, though... Princess Fiona wants her naughty corset back...
Scott I have a hard enough time playing the piano as a sighted person, but to play it nearly blind is unimaginable to me. Kudos and props to him. This was his best performance so far.
Matt Sporting a black satin-ish Members Only looking jacket... These 80's retro fashions are so tired. I liked the song (whatever it was) - sounded very current.
Big Rounds She was all shouty again. But that aside, let us discuss the dress. The hair was awwi'ight, the glitter was fun. But my goodness, that dress. When you're well endowed, a neon sign would have drawn less attention than that bow! And stretch velvet stretched across your butt with no support garments.... My human rights have just been violated by that dress.
Flambert The Elvis Costume has got to go. Great performance, though. It came in second place to the fish.
Kris Solid. Loved it! I dig a good cello, it adds a nice mid 90's sound. Who is this guy again?
Best of the night: The Filet-o-Fish, followed by Flambert, Kris, and Allison.
Full of Fail: Tattoo, Anoop, and Ms. Rounds
Who won't be going home thanks to Vote for the Worst? Tattoo...
To: bert
Who would have imagined David Cook breaking from the pack at this time last season? There is some good potential up there and Adam could get boring and sloppy in the next few weeks.

Chatting with Seacrest--Anoop cops a 'tude with the judges.
Wow...a 'tude indeed. Look at that face when he sings--it's like an angry George Michael.
