U.S. Army To Buy $6 Million Of Riot Equipment (Obama plans to crush citizen protests this summer)
blacklistednews ^ | 2/25/09 | Watson

The U.S. Army is to invest $6 million in riot equipment, a fact that has furthered fears that troops will be used inside the U.S. in order to quell any civil unrest resulting from the ongoing economic crisis.

The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, based at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, has a post on the Federal Business Opportunities website, requesting the equipment and has received several notices of interest from potential vendors.

The request titled “84–RIOT EQUIPMENT” outlines the need for hard polyethylene Shin and Chest Guards, shock absorbing Forearm Protectors, Interior leg brace supports as well as knee and ankle protectors.

The ACA asks that the equipment be able to “safely withstand a substantial blow… from non-ballistic weapons or flying debris”.

The Solicitation also states:

The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 453998 with a small business size standard of $6M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.

Interested vendors include Irish Brigade inc., manufacturers of hunting and safety gear with facilities located in the heart of Kansas City , Missouri. Federal and Military resource company MCLEARVISION, LLC is another interested party, as is Kentucky based U. S. CAVALRY STORE, INC.

In our article yesterday we highlighted the fact that Urban warfare training drills are taking place across the country as top analysts as well as officials predict a potential “summer of rage” across Europe and America as civil unrest from the economic fallout builds.

Are such drills really for the purpose of preparing troops for foreign combat zones? Undoubtedly - but other factors indicate that the drills may very well also be aimed at preparing troops for dealing with mass civil unrest as the economic crisis worsens.

There’s no question that U.S. authorities have been closely observing riots that have toppled governments in Iceland and Latvia and also threatened to do so in several other European countries. The fact that they have contingency plans in place to deal with such scenarios should they unfold in America cannot be disputed.

Indeed, before a media exposé forced them into a denial, Northcom revealed that one of the duties of at least 20,000 active duty troops that are being placed inside the United States would be dealing with “civil unrest and crowd control”.

The U.S. Army War College in November released a white paper called Known Unknowns: Unconventional ‘Strategic Shocks’ in Defense Strategy Development. The report warned that the military must be prepared for a “violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,” which could be provoked by “unforeseen economic collapse,” “purposeful domestic resistance,” “pervasive public health emergencies” or “loss of functioning political and legal order.” The “widespread civil violence,” the document said, “would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.”

I think we’ve always had these nutbags walking around with the sandwich sign slung over his shoulder “THE END IS NEAR” , which I’ve said recently I’ve felt like that guy myself of late.

However I think there is an undercurrent that we all feel. A vibration or something and all of us know something big is coming soon and not knowing is more fearful.

I hope that makes sense.

Obama getting elected was more than “darn those Democrats and their higher taxes and welfare..” debate. Obama intends on taking this country down, I feel that with all my gut that is the case. It’s not by just being stupid, it’s intentional and a little over 50% of this country voted themselves to doom.

“Ghetto thugs can’t even shoot straight.

Obozo had better recruit a lot more than 250,000 thugs if he expects to suppress the American people. Less than 10% of that number of straight-shooting, patriotic Americans will whip their butts any time they want to try it.”

THANKS!

That’s what I keep reminding people of...scope and scale...

There are more than 60 million gun owners holding more than 180 million weapons in the US....

The 2nd isnt about YOU defending yourself from the govt...

It’s about you and a few million of your closest friends defending themselves from govt.

The entire might of the US military took years to pacify Iraq.....fighting 5000 jihadists with AK’s and improvised explosives....and our guys were motivated...

And they are still OUR guys...and they are fully aware of just who had their backs when the dems wanted to cut and run and actually attempted to turn Iraq into vietnam.

No...I dont fear my fellow citizen soldier....we have more pressing issues with armed narco gangs roaming the US ...

...more than 50% of the troops would back the government in the case of martial law.

That's one man's guess, but even if 100% followed direct orders to fire on American citizens, our military isn't big enough to stop an all-out insurgency in this country.

Look at what it's taken to quell the "insurgency" in Iraq. Our troops have never faced more than maybe a hundred thousand insurgents there. There are millions upon millions of gun owners in this country.

Think about it. The odds are insurmountable for any army. It's why this country has never been attacked by ground troops on its own soil. The People cannot be conquered militarily.

I am fortunate, I suppose, in that until today I had never heard of Alex Jones.

Did you read the reason.com article from 09/10/2005? Or the Guns and Ammo article?

“In answer to your question, my brother said “They would be unlikely to fire on the American people.”

Ask your brother how they would feel about clearing a American neighborhood of latin kings or MS-13 gang bangers or other “unfriendlies” such as the Zeta.

*grin*

The pretender will declare Martial Law...

And that will be the undoing of The One and the whole criminal, Socialist enterprise known as the Democrat party.

It will incidentally be the beginning of the rebirth of this nation, as it was originally constituted.

My brother in law is a Captain in the army. He said he would love to be called in to quell a riot so he could give someone the butt of his rifle.

That is *exactly* the sort of attitude that drove many of the law enforcement officers - many from the far corners of the country - who volunteered to "help" in New Orleans. Some of them drove from the west coast just for the opportunity to indulge in that sort of sh!t (and risk little possibility of "career limitation").

Yes, there were some guardsman involved in firearm confiscation too... both national guard and USCG.

Suffice to say that there are enough such people in both military and civilian law enforcement to be of great concern to anyone who values their constitutional liberties.

New Orleans was, of course, a unique case. It's a small city and geographically easy to isolate... yet it took an amazing amount of manpower to lock down. I don't think that martial law is enforceable on a larger scale, particularly not when the people are furious rather than frightened.

yes sir...you are...I implore you....do a little research on him and the 9/11 “truth” movement.

Notice the article is picked up from a spin off site and not inforwars...

“Did you read the reason.com article from 09/10/2005? Or the Guns and Ammo article?”

No..but I promise to get to it and double source the writers...

The danger from Obama isnt that he is some sinister mastermind...the danger is that he is grossly incompetent and narcissistic

South central LA would be as bad as somalia...

I personally think that you are absolutely correct. The agenda is to destroy the Republic. I have a brother that voted for the One and he believes that “maybe Obama will rescind Bush’s executive orders regarding martial law.” Like that is going to happen!
