This company very likely donated the thing for advertising purposes. They are a nationwide company, (iirc) and this is like gold to them, to be able to claim the presidents kids have one of their sets at the white house.

While the US economy burns, Obama builds a swing set.
And the Rainbow Swing Set Co. doesn’t have any “show rooms” in DC, so I wonder how much it cost to have it sent there??
They have unlimited resources and the best they could do was a canvas roof?
Their kids are 10 and 7. That’s still in swing set age.
As long as it was paid with the Obama’s own money, the kids should have some place to play. It can be pretty hard for young kids in a place like that. The White House must be pretty much a “look but don’t touch” place for kids.
