mid a sea of beehives, bouffants and buns, it was a remarkably low-key affair.
In fact, Jennifer Anistons red-carpet hairstyle looks like something most of us could attempt with a decent pair of straightening irons and a bit of patience.
But astonishingly, the sleek style cost the actress almost £40,000.

Do these people ever work? All you see is them going into and leaving party after party, shopping on Rodeo Drive, laying on a beach somewhere, etc.. They must have a boat load of bucks lying around to afford this kind of lifestyle.
Looks like she just got out of the shower.
While I’m not a fan of Whining Jen, you can’t argue with success. For her it was L40K well spent. Remember when every other chick wore the same style? It would have been cheap for her at twice the price.
LMAO
great job!
“Nobody is looking at her *hair*. ;-)”
I just noticed she had a head!
What dress? What hair?...Nobody pays attention to shoes anymore....
Mrs. Mnehrling still gets this cut often.. She flips back and forth between that and the Charlize Theron haircut.. (unfortunately I know this because she asks me every week which one she should get and I've had lectures on the difference..)
Her brains must have been bleached out long ago.
From the link: “The sky-high bill came because Miss Aniston, 40, insisted her hairdresser Chris McMillan accompany her on a week-long trip to Europe.”
Ok, so she took her hairdresser along on a trip to Europe, maybe as a reward for something or whatever and the cost is the cost of the entire trip, not just the hair styling. So what? She can afford it and it was her money wasn’t it?
Her “current” hairstyle (a very simple cut, but great color) is very basic...yet you never see her doing something (anything) different stylewise. Keeping the same cut, for a premier, you would wonder why no updo; curls; etc (though she did have small, no doubt diamond, berettes in place @ the Oscars). So I am guessing she is very “exacting” (ie not changeable) in her look.
It is her money, and a nice European trip for her “people.”. I just have to question why now such an “expense account” press release? Is it a personal swipe @ Aniston (remember the Angelina needs a 20mil necklace to wear to the Oscars?). Or is it just a reference to the excess of the rich and Aniston was just an easy target?
Who knows...but she should go back to the “Rachel.”. The curved under top layer softens sharper features (I still wear a version of the Rach!)
Even with such a ‘plain’ hairstyle, it is still one of the most asked for styles at hair salons. As for the expense, her stylist is one of her best friends, so I can see this being no big deal for her. And you’re right, its her money to do with as she sees fit.
Every movie I have seen her in she plays the same role she played in Friends....and that wasn't anything award winning.....when she talks she always acts like she has a piece of candy in her mouth....
I know Reese is a wonderful actress but my eyes are always distracted by that chin!
Normally I could care less about the Hollywood gossip drivel but this caught my eye. Approximately $60,000 on a HAIR CUT?!
This is either pure gossip or purely disgusting. As a conservative/capitalist my knee jerk reaction is to always say “it’s their money they can do what they want”, and I still say that here. But I think it’s also fair to say in this case this is a complete waste of money.
While people are struggling in this economy, she spends as much as some people make in a YEAR, on a hair style that in a week, maybe two tops will be GONE!? Certainly it’s her money, but in this case I feel no shame in saying, by everything that’s moral, she should have just gone to a local Hair Cuttery and DONATED the rest to charity. Or “better” yet why doesn’t she overpay her taxes by that much? She’s probably a leftist and supports Obama; where’s HER “patriotism”?
Absolutely disgusting.
Doesn’t Reese Witherspoon look like a young Belinda Carlisle? She could play Belinda in a movie about the Go-Go’s...
You must be good at discerning what she wants to hear by now.
