You Are Not Forgotten
God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have showed toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints. Hebrews 6:10
When Britains oldest man turned 111, vintage aircraft did a flyover, and the Band of the Royal Marines played Happy Birthday. According to the Daily Mirror, Henry Allingham was amazed by all of the attention. Until 6 years earlier, he had for 86 years kept secret the horrific memories of what happened in the trenches of World War I. Only when tracked down by the World War I Veterans Association did this old man, who had been shelled, bombed, and shot, receive honor for what he had endured in behalf of his country.
The story of the Bible gives us parallels to Henrys story. The Scriptures show that those who fight the battles of God often end up wounded, imprisoned, and even killed as a result of their service.
The cynic might observe such lives and conclude with a sigh that no good deed goes unpunished. But the author of Hebrews sees a bigger picture. He reminds us that everything and anything we have done in faith and love will one day be honored by God (6:10).
Are you discouraged today? Do you feel insignificant? Do you feel forgotten after trying to serve God? Be assured that God will not forget anything you have done in your service to Him or others.
Does the place youre called to labor
Seem so small and little known?
It is great if God is in it,
And Hell not forget His own. Suffield

Its Your Turn
A soft sweet breeze blows over a still landscape dark
and a tattered battered flag, valiantly struggles to lift
men with bleary tired eyes, check their guns and shift
looking out over a landscape once familiar, now so stark
They stand for freedom of hearth, and faith, and life
willing to give it all, to keep the precious gift so fair
courage common in common hearts, they in faith swear
and stand to hold back the ravages of others strife
Patriots seek freedom, and honor, when duty calls
they seek it for family, and friends there at their side
they've paid the price time and again, making evil hide
do you, like them, have the courage, even if you fall

We used to put a line of wire up away from the yard fence, and electrify it, turning it on when the hogs came around. A few times of that the hogs headed for less painful pastures! As for coyotes, the wire put a serious crimp in their advances, and a .22 ending the burgeoning careers of the more hardy! We had all the neighbors keeping mum on the ‘control operations’ in the interest of protecting their children for the critters! (I imagine if I look around my files, I still have that fence charger schematic somewhere, let me know if you want it.)

Thats “saving the children FROM the critters”, NOT “for the critters!” My computer doesn’t type well until it has a second cup of coffee.

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
