Using The U.S. Military to Round Up U.S. Citizens and Confiscate Their Private Weapons

Posted on 02/18/2009 1:33:35 PM PST by FortWorthPatriot

There have been several posts on different threads where this topic has been discussed. Some FReepers say our U.S. military would not use armed force against citizens if order to do so; others say they would, going as far as saying that "the military will fight for whoever pays them to."

I thought why not just ask our FReepers who are currently on active duty what they think.

So, active duty military FReepers, here are the questions:

1. Would you obey an order from the current president to disarm U.S. citizens and force them into internment camps?

2. Do you believe that those in your chain of command would carry out such an order?

3. What do you believe is the percentage of personnel in your command that would refuse the order?

4. What do you believe is the percentage of personnel in the entire U.S. miltary that would refuse the order?

“A spokesman for General James Cartwright, the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, states that the Obama Administration wants to have soldiers and officers pledge a loyalty oath to the office of the President, and no longer to the Constitution.”

Is that true? That is Hitler 101 in his attempt to gain control over the Wermarcht. By having soldiers pledge allegiance to him, he instilled a sense of unquestioning loyalty. Of course pledges and personal oaths meant a lot more back then.

Some will hand over a token revolver, then go on the offensive covertly.

Much smarter.

The Federal LEO’s will follow orders during the initial phase, but as issues crop up and the popluace (and the Military) turn against them, many of them will switch sides.

I envision it happening regionally. One group of courageous LEO taking a stand to not enforce a confiscation law, the national guard being sent in to enforce “civility” and they also refusing to enforce the law. Then, hopefully there would be a domino effect and a peaceful change in power. I think everyone offended by what is happening is just waiting for a leader and someone or some event to stand behind.

I think Posse Comitatus would supersede any such order to disarm the population. It is suspended or revised in cases of illegal activity but not for removing a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms.

Randy Weaver's wife and son were murdered over a $50.00 tax stamp.

Tax stamp for a short shotgun's only $50?

CA Highway Patrol and the National Guard participated, along with the DEA

Remember, the BATFE was the point of the gun confiscations in NOLA.

You have to remember that the German Army was severely cut up after WWII. The Treaty of Versailles restricted the German Army to less than 100,000 men, mostly police officers. Hitler expanded the Armed Forces to well over 2 million men (not including the SS). The German Army had very few left over NCO’s or command officers from the Great War. Finally, the German military wanted vengeance for WWI, so many of them backed Hitler.

This is NOT the case with the US military.

I recall running across a reference to a rifle called a “416 Chey-Tac”. Does this shoot the same cartridge?

He said this would be as large, as well armed and as well funded as the military.

I remember that.

Did he really mean they would have "carrier battle groups" and nuclear-armed ICBMs, or was that just the usual empty-headed campaign rhetoric/blather?

He probably takes checks, or you can go down to Wal-mart and buy a prepaid Mastercard which, as far as I know, is anonymous.

.Here is an example, how may stories have you heard about gang members joining the military for training and for getting someone on the inside? I’ve heard enough to make me unconformable.

That talk has been around for decades. Back in the '60s & 70s I personally heard blacks talk about "When the payback comes" "WE will take the tanks, and all the guns to the party"...

Never thought much about it back then, other than thinking "Good luck with that!"... These days? It's worrisome to the Nth degree.

carried out by the New Orleans PD, possibly with the assistance of parish sheriffs.

And by Police and sherrifs from other jurisdictions. The little old lady who was body slamed when she showed an ancient revolver (probably a .32) was dealing with California Highway Patrol officers.
