The rope around the head is an error.
That rope, that you see Arabs wear around their headdress, is a camel lead - it is a sign of wealth.
The religious do no wear them, as they are sworn to poverty. Obviously, an impoverished man could not afford a camel, and thus would not have a camel lead.
