Can’t believe that John Fund didn’t hit the truly significant point of the major red states bleeding population. California, New York and Michigan among the biggest losers.

It isn’t about gerrymandering, it is about losing entire districts in the House of Representatives with attendant gains in the receiving states.

Congressional Black Caucus, and Hispanic groups complained to the White House that Judd Gregg, the Republican senator from New Hampshire slated to head Commerce, couldn't be trusted

more blasted dem fearmongering. Of course republicans can't be trusted -they've been saying it for going on nine years now, right? The same excuse was used for trying to ramrod a bailout bill thru with martial law and it's their excuse for trying to ramrod a 'stimulus' pork bill thru, too. For a decade it's been their mantra. Republicans trying to be all polite and squishy softy and 'let's get along', don't challenge these hatemongering statements when they should be met head-on imo jmo moo.

BO wants control so that in the next election when ACORN set out to rig things there won’t be more voter showing up to vote than registered voters in any given state.

"There's only one reason to have that high level of White House involvement," a career professional at the Census Bureau tells me. "And it's called politics, not science."

Yes, "science." Obama is talking about "scientific socialism."

Why Obama Wants Control of the Census

Without reading the article, I'll take a wild guess.

Ummmmm.....to over represent Blacks and Hispanics?

Anything that threatens the integrity of the Census has profound implications. Not only is it the basis for congressional redistricting, it provides the raw data by which government spending is allocated on everything from roads to schools.

Yeah, sure.

That's why they wanted to know how many toilets you have and a boatload of other personal data in the last census. I suspect very soon the questioning (and that's what it is) will include necessary information like: how many firearms you own, what type, religious affiliation, political persuasion, homeschool status, associations, personal contacts, etc., etc., etc.

A dossier needs data to be effective, ya' know.

President Obama said in his inaugural address that he planned to "restore science to its rightful place" in government.

You mean, like acknowledging once again that a fertilized egg is a unique human being? Nah, didn't think so.

"Anything that threatens the integrity of the Census has profound implications."

I seem to recall that in the 2000 census, the libs wanted several controversial things that both threatened the integrity of the census. They received one but not the other:

They wanted no distinction between citizens, residents, and illegal aliens. Millions of dollars were spent on advertising assuring illegals that census takers would not turn them in, to ensure that the illegals answered the door. Libs succeeded here.

Libs wanted computerized adjustment of totals in certain districts in the event that doors weren't answered. Talk about "integrity" ! But I think they lost this one.

Don't trust this initiative for a second.

He wants to fix the numbers to compensate for the exodus from the rust belt strong hold. They must count nonexistent ghetto dwellers to make up the loss.

Since his census takers cannot read or write or count, there must be statistical compensation for the failed count
