Good evening everyone, and welcome to the new week's thread.
Our new president will treat us to another exhorting, scolding speech Monday night as the Senate prepares to vote on the Depression and Mind-Boggling Deficit Act of 2009.
Meanwhile Sec Treasury Timothy Geithner, AKA The Treasury's Own Tax Cheat, will unveil yet another bank bailout Tuesday...but that could change...stay tuned.

Yes, indeed! I’ve gone from Instant Grits to the kind you need to cook a while, though. Breakfast of champions or something like that :)

“Good morning, good morning....”

Good morning, my grits-loving friend!
Every time I have grits for breakfast, I think of you, Toby! LOL
It's warm here too...for the whole week...and I'm thinking SPRING, gardening, and....yard mowing.
I've had a life-long jag of reading, which gives me both pleasure and information...not to mention an escape from the doings in DC.
Having such interests as these AND having wonderful cyber friends must be what's keeping us around in our old age. LOL
BTW....If you want some toe-tapping music, try clicking on Ed Cuneo's 2 minute samples of his "Our Kind of Music" CD at http://magiccityjazz.com/music.html
He's 71 years old, lives in Orlando, plays banjo, and once posted to the FR Sunday Shows thread....as a conservative.

Thanks, sweetie.
I took Ev out to Perkins for breakfast. Then he was on his way.
I'm so glad that he & Katie will be able to spend Valentine's day together.
We'll see him again next Tues./Wed. down in Madison. Then it's the big goodbye.:(
He is handling it so well that it makes it easier for us. He said his philosophy is "Que Sera, Sera"...........what will be, will be, and he'll deal with it as it comes.

Geez Louise, I can't believe the trouble i'm having with this. The room I am freeping in doubles as the guest room; before Ev left he folded up the sofa bed and neatly folded the quilt and arranged the throw pillows. Just looking at it has me sobbing because I know it's going to be a long long time before he will be here again messing up the room, messing up the living room, etc. etc. etc. You'd think this would be easier 2nd time around but it is not.
i think I'd better fo find something to do to keep busy for a while. I think I'll clean my studio.bbl

I can’t imagine what you are going through.
I have his name (along with a few others so I am reminded to pray for them often through out the day)on my monitor.

We switched back to cable last summer. We just couldn’t get the SEC sports like we wanted with Dish Network. The cost is comparable and we now have the local channels.

He is; and I know it sounds contradictory; he is handling it so well that it makes it easier, and yet it is hard at the same time. I guess what I mean is, when I am talking with him face to face I feel better about it because he is not worried. But when he's gone.......it's another story.
I know from last time that I simply have to KEEP GOING, and keep busy.
Just not quite there yet.
