Greenhouse is cranking up! We got 230 bare root roses in last week that had to be planted—outside—and enough rooted cuttings to start 2-300 hanging baskets. It’s time, but too cold right now—20 last night—to plant cabbage and taters and broccoli and stuff. I’ve got a million tomato and pepper seedlings up that have to be transplanted soon. I’ve only got a 30x60 greenhouse, so everything has to be timed just right. It’s one of those big shuffle puzzles in a frame—you can’t take the pieces out, you just have to keep shuffling things around. We literally have plants hanging from the ceiling. LOL
From here on out, every day is going to be like Christmas eve at Walmart. I’ll be lucky to have time to breathe. Only reason I’m online now is because I’m at work and so far, very few customers. Sposed to be alomost 60 today, so as soon as it warms up...

I manage a small greenhouse at a small independent garden center. Been here about 18 years. I love it! I’m also the bookkeeper, the cashier, the floor sweeper, the secretary, the go-fer... LOL
We only have 2 full time employees—my boss and myself—and 4 part time.
The temp warmed up 40 degrees and we’ve been selling taters and onions and fert right steady. :)

ROFLOL. We have three of them. I normally get up at 4:30 am, but it being Saturday and I woke up at two am, when back to bed and I slept in. One of the little darlings tried to bite me to wake me up. What did he want? Nothing. Just felt like biting me, I guess.
