Hi everyone, up date on dad is as far as the surgeon and his team are concerned he is fit to come home. They still have not got to be bottom on his sweats they feel if it was connected with the collection in his stomach he would be generally more unwell than he is.

His consultant's suggestion after looking at all his meds and other possible medical diagnoses is that it probably connected with him being over stimulated in someway especially as he does seem to get them when he wakes and more severe if you actually wake him.

He is also being referred to ENT for his throat and hopefully they can see him before he is discharged. His throat has not been right since the op but each general doctor he has seen cannot see anything visually wrong with it.

Have also got the finishing done to the “hole in the wall”, following are photos of both side of it. Apologies for the last photo is shows my bags just dumped after returning back from the hospital and also the duvet I wrap round myself in the evening. You can also see we are not the tidiest of people with shelves of books, videos and DVDs plus stuff on most surfaces

Also on the last photo you can see I see have my wall paper on the computer a photo of Dick Cheney

Aqua, I meant to thank you for your comments yesterday. It was a very nice day (and week). I hope you two had a lovely Anniversay celebration! The years fly by, don’t they, Aqua?

That frame is so pretty. Thats sorta what I would like to learn. I was checking the frame so tedious, I almost forgot those little ‘bubbles’ that form a heart. That is cute.

That “Together Forever” is on my parent’s pink marble grave marker. They chose it when they were younger and before they ever truly thought of dying. They always said they didn’t want to leave it for their kids to do. It is a very sweet marker if there is such a thing. ~~smile~~

Thank you for sharing the story of your parents, JC. That is very touching.

One of my best friends has a crypt at Forest Lawn mausoleum in Glendale, California. Several years ago, she wanted to show me where her final resting place would be, when we were in California.

I was surprised that so many celebrities were entombed there. But, the one that really struck me, was the one accross from hers. It was George Burns and Gracie Allen's final resting place.

I thought theirs said "Together Forever", but the words engraved are more appropriate for the two of them.

Drift
We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away. —Hebrews 2:1

In the 1923 silent movie Our Hospitality, comedian and acrobat Buster Keaton performed a daring stunt near a waterfall. A retaining line, called a “holdback” cable, hidden in the water and attached to him, kept him from being carried over the falls.

During filming, the cable broke, and Keaton was swept toward the falls. He managed to grab an overhanging branch, which he clung to until the crew could rescue him. The dramatic scene appears in the finished film.

Drifting into unintended hazards can make for exciting film footage. In real life, however, dangers of this kind are usually marked with warning signs to prevent people from venturing into harm’s way.

Similarly, the Bible has provided us with warning signs about drifting from the safety of God’s Word. “Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away” (Heb. 2:1).

When we don’t cling to God’s Word through study and reflection, it’s easy to drift. Like a swift stream, the attractions of this fallen world draw us toward sin. But as we meditate on Scripture and seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance, we learn the reality of our spiritual anchor and are kept secure—even in the dangers of the world’s current

The Bible stands like a rock undaunted
’Mid the raging storms of time;
Its pages burn with the truth eternal,
And they glow with a light sublime. —Lillenas

The compass of God’s Word will keep you from spiritual shipwreck.

Sorry - all it showed was the tulips, with a box under them, with a little red x. Conor’s picture above yours is just a box with a red x too. Been getting a lot of those lately. Maybe my computer (6 months old) is full?

Having the wrong reference doesn’t show up on my computer with IE but the pictures are not visible to others and they are not visible to me on FireFox. But I forget to check the page with FF before linking to the it. I notice that the date back button at the bottom of the page and some other script features are also not visible on FireFox. I guess they are not visible to others either.

Anyway, let me know if the pictures are still not visible.
