Good morning, Billie. I love what you did with that precious image. I had never heard that song; it is perfect with your Graphic. Thank you for Opening the doors and hostessing this morning. Happy Love Week!

Thanks, Amy! I just happened to listen to that song and LOVE his accent - sort of the way I felt about Renee Olstead's "Someone to Watch Over Me"* that we used a week or so ago with the collie and the kitten. Thank you for the Love graphic! This is a fun day.... yesterday was a fun day, and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow will be a fun day, too. :)

*Which reminds me, Victoria, I never got back to your music post from the weekend and want to thank you for all the great music you're posting here. Good stuff - don't stop! LOL I had already saved a few of them (Renee Olstead's "Someone to Watch Over Me"; Elvis' "Can't Help Falling in Love"; Frank Sinatra's "For Once in My Life")

Hi Amy. What are you gals up to today?

I like Marissa’s choices except for the mint one. I have never liked mint in ice cream. I tend to go for a good plain vanilla, or anything with caramel or dulce de leche. I recently discovered Ben & Jerry’s creme brulee ice cream, which is scrumptious.

Baskin Robbins is way too expensive so I don’t go there. Thrifty ice cream is the best!! My all time favorite there is still Black Cherry:-) Mmmm, mmmm. They added a new root beer flavored ice cream last year, and it rocks too.

Oh, btw, Walgreen’s Dutch chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream.

I wasn’t surprised at tonight’s ‘no rose’ choice......

The straggler has arrived. Yes, Dita is in the house, lol. The rose ceremony was completely predictable and, based our conversation last week, don't think any of us were surprised.

Naomi just isn't ready, no matter what she says and wants to feel. The more we get of Jason, the more appealing he is. Imagine what that's like for the girls, up close and personal. Whew! Get me a fan!! Haha.

More thoughts in a few. I want to read your all comments:)

The First Day
~ Christina Rossetti

I wish I could remember the first day,
First hour, first moment of your meeting me;
If bright or dim the season it might be;
Summer or winter for aught I can say.
So, unrecorded did it slip away,
So blind was i to see and to forsee,
So dull to mark the budding of my tree
That would not blossom, yet, for many a May.

If only I could recollect it! Such
A day of days! I let it come and go
As traceless as a thaw of bygone snow.
It seemed to mean so little, meant so much!
If only now I could recall that touch,
First touch of hand in hand! - Did one but know!

Oops! That’s right - New Zealand! :) Guess I was so shocked to see that DeAnna was going to be back next week, I couldn’t remember where he was taking the girls for their romantic overnight dates.

I've always liked that song - it's just so dang romantic the way she sings it!

That song is one of the all-time beauties, goes right to my heart and my soul. It is, as a friend of mine would say, EVOCATIVE:)

*Sigh* I met Roberta once. She’s a very nice, unpretentious lady. Petite, too.

Good one, Meggers. We watched Andy Williams all the time; his Christmas shows were especially good.

Here's a "heartfelt" favorite of mine:

Lovely poem, Rossetti rings a dull bell, might not get to look her up.

Has it confused me, though? I clearly remember the first moment of me meeting him but unlike the author I don’t believe I could possibly remember the moment he met me, that moment is so personal.

I’ve been a Christina Rosetti fan for a long, long time. She wrote the words to my favorite Christmas song, “In the Bleak Midwinter.”

Okay, back to The Bach.

Hey, they sure threw us for a loop at the very end, huh? So, will DeAnna come back for real next time? I had to go watch some clips of her on utube, since I didn’t watch The Bachelorette, to get a flavor of it all.

I feel so bad for our Final Three if DA comes back!! That is so wrong.

I liked Naomi’s father for the sincerity of his testimony to our Lord, but he did lay it on a bit heavy, kind of like he’d been waiting to ambush Jason. And I think J is smart enough to know when he’s being ambushed.

Naomi’s Mom has eaten too much peyote or smoked something, don’t you think? Lots of nuts on the family tree:)

Of all family members, Jillian’s grandma was the Best!! A real hoot. I don’t “get” Jillian the way you do, mama bear and Billie. She is simply opaque to me.

I still think Molly is the most solid, but am wondering after last night if his strongest heart-to-heart connection is with Melissa. And if heart-to-heart will win out.

???

Just about, I'd say! Who knows why February 10th was chosen 'the' day - I was just glad to see an easy one, and one that could be 'incorporated', sorta, into today's little kids in love day. :)
