My Finnish is not too good. But I swear this says something about how you are not allowed to keep a mooose in your house.
It might bite your sister.
Cheese however - is fine. Lots of cheese.

Dayum the Finns sure use a lot of really long words. I’ve heard that Finnish is very difficult to learn, the grammar is so complicated. It has 15 different forms of a noun depending on the particular context.

Either way, you want to charge headfirst into a brick wall after about 90 seconds of it.
We checked a CD of Finnish folk music out of the library once, and Anoreth had to take it out of the player before I drove the van into a telephone pole. The reindeer skull on the cover should have been a clue ...

But I think it also requires an exclamation point at the beginning of the word.

Zot...the universal language of mirthful rejection!
Yeah, let's cut ‘em some slack...they're just pining for the fjords.
(or is that Sweden? Jeez, I can't keep my Scandinavian regions straight!)

The irony is that at the dawn of the internet, a lot of what I’d come across was Finnish.

All the songs seemed to be about ice or suicide ... and the language, of course, is full of k’s.
Yes, we like bluegrass, mariachi, symphonies, and even tolerate the Swedish heavy metal with the cellos, after a few drinks.

It has 15 different forms of a noun depending on the particular context. I think you exaggerate. Take this sentence for example, directly translated it says "No cats": Alla ovat Ympäristöministeriön viimeisimmät viralliset vuokrasopimus mallit.
Unfortunately, you miss the beauty of the spoken language and the wonderful onomatopoeia as the word for cat sounds just like a cat spitting up a hairball.

If that is truly the translation of the article, what was the purpose of starting this thread in the first place?
Over on the Swedish newspaper sites, at least they're talking about Foppa making another comeback attempt, which is a helluva lot more entertaining than this bland oatmeal!
