Blaming Rush Limbaugh and Conservatism for Republican Woes (McCain only blames Conservatives)
Human Events ^ | 1/21/09 | A.W.R. Hawkins

Just when you thought Senator John McCain and his crew had finally left the scene after getting pounded last November, at least one prominent McCain operative has crawled out of his bunker long enough to blame McCain’s loss on Rush Limbaugh and conservatism.

That’s right. On January 15, 2009, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis appeared on BBC’s “Hardtalk” and credited McCain’s loss to “the Rush Limbaughs of the world who…literally almost feed the nativist attitude toward immigration reform” and the exclusivity of conservative principles.

So the McCainiacs are still trying to blame the 2008 disaster on everyone except themselves and their candidate. If you’ll remember, in the initial days and weeks after the election they were spinning the idea that it was Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s fault that McCain lost. Members of the McCain campaign dumped on her and McCain was nowhere to be seen. “Big Mac” proved to be but a “small fry” as he failed to come to her defense even once.

We need to ensure we never again run a RINO as a presidential candidate.

You can tell a lot about a man’s character by his enemies. I’m proud to be McCain’s enemy.

Look here...they just gotta blame it on somebody.

They - including mcidiot - could never blame it on the fact that the republicans put forth as a candidate the weakest possible person....almost a sacraficial lamb when what was needed was a strong willed, vibrant, smart, conservative that could do two things:

1. Beat obammer at his own game, and

2. Overcome the dismal, disastrous effects of the then current president.

Come to think of it...that was a really tall order...and typical of the republicans, they fielded the worst possible candidate at the worst possible time.

The only people John McCain has to blame are his campaign advisors and himself.

I held my nose and voted for McCain, and now with each passing day as this man or one of his designee's opens their mouths to blame someone else, I become more and more embarassed that I voted for him.

Last week Rush Limbaugh said he felt like he was the only Conservative left in the Republican party.

I think that's likely true. I left the Republican party in 1990 after "read my lips, no new taxes!" became yet another RINO broken promise.

I think most Conservatives left the Republican party long ago. So my question to Rush (and others who remain) is "what's taking you so long?"

Any Conservative who remains in the Republican Party after this election surely suffers from either Stockholm Syndrome or Battered Child Syndrome.

Bob Dole says, “Bob Dole disagrees with that assessment.”

What do they care if McCain lost? McCain has always said Hussein would be a better president them him. When you hear this junk you get the sense they think we’d be better off with McLame as president but McCain and the Republicans don’t think so.

Dear John,
We, who are conservatives, know our ideals and values. However, we are still waiting to hear what yours are.

Signed,
Disgruntled GOP voter

PS—I voted for Palin not you.......

Megan McCain this morning refused to comment on Sarah, period. Wondering what that is about.
McCain sucks. Not a hair’s difference in him and Bambi. He can blame anyone he wants. Betcha he loses his senate seat next.

If I am reading the trends and the party leadership correctly, the Republican Party will not be supporting any conservatives for President, and perhaps not even for national office anymore.

Conservatives are being shut out.

The only difference we can make is to guarantee that no RINO can be elected. Just vote 3rd party whenever and whereever the Republicans nominate a RINO for any office.

This guarantees that a DemoncRAT Donkey will be elected, but it won’t always be by a majority. They won’t be able to claim a “mandate”.

**We need to ensure we never again run a RINO as a presidential candidate.**

I’m gonna have to leave that up to the Republicans. Their actions were such an EMBARASSMENT to me, I can’t use (R) after my name.
Thanks to McLAME and the RNC you can call me ...

an INDEPENDENT CONSERVATIVE!!!

I would imagine Elisabeth feels the same way! What is with the republican party, anyway?

Where are the leaders? The mainstays? The stalwarts?

Without strong, conservative leadership, that party is lost.

Maybe one of the problems is true conservatives are not really party people. Evidence seems to indicate that true party people are the dems, who won’t let right, principle, truth, responsibility, love of country, or any other honorable idea or principle, get in the way of Party.

I read something from Rush’s website stating why he’s no longer a Republican.

Liberty, self-reliance, and limited government should never be compromised in order to appeal to the big tent. Screw the politicians preying on our resources for personal gain plus acting as a go between erected by the parasites.

May those that demand we squander our freedoms in order to appeal to a wider “audience” as well as the established corporate press enjoy their riches in this life and the bed they made in hell awaiting them in the next life.

Unless we take back OUR party, we’ll get another RINO (or worse) again in 2012!
