3:00PM ET - FOX
6:30PM ET - CBS
I don’t understand the scheduling. You have the game in the West , played indoors in a balmy climate in the afternoon, then you have the game in the East, played outdoors at night in a frigid climate. I’m sorry, seems backward in every regard. I know a small, vocal faction will say, “it’s supposed to be icy, yadayada.” But the NFL gave up on that concept from Superbowl I, when they scheduled it in warm cities or domed stadiums ever since. And so did every college bowl game from Rose Bowl I.
Baltimore shouldn’t be at a too mush of a snow/cold disadvantage...but figure in crowd noise (and the HF open end wind patterns) and there is a definite home field advantage.
:)
The 3rd and 18 completion to Jackson was the killer.
What happens is the later game is worth more money to the networks because it goes into prime time. So Fox and CBS rotate each year on who gets the later conference championship game.
Yuengling is ok for a domestic. Still panther piss though.
If Pittsburgh is smart they’ll keep the ball as far away from Ed Reed as possible. If they do that they should be in good shape.
Hard for me to believe. I still remember being pi$$t that the 1986 Giants-Redskins Conference Championship game started here in the dark with the winds howling. I'm not sure I've ever been colder. At 1 PM that day, it was sunny and reasonably nice for January.

Here it is in a nutshell. The night game gets the better ratings so by contract they alternate year to year which network gets the night game.
Sarah would look good even in a Lions jersey.
Yes, The Los Angeles Lions...Super Bowl Champions...after the passing of William Clay Ford Sr of course.
The "Detroit" Lions were only a tool that WCFieldsFord used to get back at the UAW...(and unfortunately every other Michigan sports fan)
...gave them a little something to choke on every Sunday as revenge for having to dish out ridicules wages and benefits. Back in the early years the company had it's mafia to get it's way with the original union organizers(by means of baseball bat if necessary), later the union got their own mafia to get their way(by means of moonbat if necessary).
Simple math: Greed + Greed = Vengeance
Simpler math: 0 and 16 + 1 playoff win in 50 years = don't give a rats-a$$ organization.
It's too pathetic for it to just be a streak of "bad luck"...it has to be manufactured. And, if I recall, I do believe the Ford family to be "pioneers" in the "field" of "manufacturing" are they not?
So with that premise its easy to believe that what they(Fords)have put on the "field" the last 50 years is "manufactured"...for failure.
Just hazarding a guess here, but as almost every Steeler road game has the near crowd equivalent of a home game, maybe putting the Stillerz game in the optimum viewing time slot makes better ratings sense. That would be my guess:)
By the, Rush is in town...he is a huge fan of the Black and Gold:)
The 1996 Pats-Jags AFC title game was the later one and that was pretty damn cold. Of course everyone thought that Denver was going to be hosting the game that year.
That the Cardinals made it this far makes it near Bizarro world. I was at work during their last game and when the score was announced (yes, a concert venue and we had the score reported over our radios. lol)it had to be repeated twice. When customers asked the response was always, “REALLY?”
Were the Stools every stolen from another city?
ml/nj..honey, .its obvious you don’t bleed Black and Gold, LOL.
If any Stiller ticket holder was offended by the weather and/or timing of the game, they could easily liquidate their unwanted ticket for probably ten times its face value.
I think the team that is going to move to LA is the Vikings..
