Back in 1984 everybody cut "Footloose. Just admit it. We all did the dance. We all knew every move. And we all had a crush on Kevin Bacon.
Now, 25 years later, with the news that Zac Efron is slated to star in the 2010 remake (and Bacon considering a cameo), we look back at the original cast members and the blockbuster hits, surprising career twists, as well as tragedy that have followed in their post-'Footloose' careers.

They won’t be critical of the coasts. They will continue to condemn flyover country and those who cling to religion.
I admit it, I bought a ticket for Footloose, and we watched just enough of it that we could walk over to see the R-rated Risky Business.
The smartest move right now if for Zac to keep the magic going from H.S. Musical. He’ll take his audience with him and, hey, how old is he? He has plenty of time to hone his acting chops.
Bacon was ok in Tremors, I would prefer another sequel of that than Footloose.
The “rock” music in Footloose “Everybody Cut Foot Loose!” and “Let’s Hear It For The Boy” is NOT rock and roll. Some “rebel”.
Me neither.
Right. IMHO, it will not be as good as the original. Remakes rarely are.
Let’s spend that money on feeding the poor Hollywood! Not another remake or useless original.
I think the only part of footloose I saw was a scene with a tractor race or something.
and cling to their guns. Which makes the whole anti dancing thing stupid because those with guns usually shoot at the feet of others to make them dance! DUH!
Bacon was only in the first Tremors. Mike Gross stayed around at least for the second one. And there was a third if I’m not mistaken.
That’s why I say turn the tables and show the hypocrisy of bureaucracy in Manhattan and the rigid rules of the entertainment business.
But no, it’s easier to just keep trashing those of faith.
Tremors actually is one my favorite movies. Mr. Bacon couldn’t have known what the reaction to Foot Loose would have been, but, ZACK! What are you thinking!?!? You have the original movie to watch... There’s no way to pull off a successful remake of horrible movie.
Giddyup go!
Adult language warning;
Richard Farnsworth... he was the real deal.

There were 5 Tremor’s movies with Michael Gross in all of them.
Which begs the question:
Will the soundtrack to the remake consist of P-did-he and (I’m bigger then J.C.) Kayne West, no talent crap?
Count yourself lucky. It was a dreadful movie.
