Patrick Swayze checked himself into the hospital this morning suffering from a bout of pneumonia, which is said to be a complication of chemotherapy treatments for his pancreatic cancer.
Swayze appeared on television this week, giving an exclusive interview with Barbara Walters about his battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Swayze was scheduled to join his fellow co-star and producers in presenting A&E's new drama The Beast to critics, which he stars in. After realizing he would be too ill to make it, according to A&E reps, Patrick asked that the show go on and that they pass along a message from him about how "unbelievably proud" he is of the work they've done so far on the show.
"You can bet that I'm going through Hell," Swayze recently told Walters. "And I've only seen the beginning of it. There's a lot of fear here. There's a lot of stuff going on. Yeah, I'm scared. Yeah, I'm angry. Yeah, I'm asking, 'Why me?'"
There’s been more hatred at poster #4 that he could have conceivably expressed in a fairly innocuous post. I mean, why do these celebrities and their media enablers have to advertise their pimples and sneezes. No matter, you’re right, the hostility is rising here, on top of pedestrianism and trivia worship. Oh, well...
We have two friends with prostate cancer getting the latest treatment protocol at Loma Linda -- Proton -- which targets just the tumor. They hit the tumor every day of the week and you don't have all the side effects of prior treatment protocols, though he did have to have some radiation before starting proton. I'm also reminded Suzanne Summers went against aliopathic doctors recommendations and did alternative treatment for her breast cancer and she reversed her disease. I have a link to an interesting article she wrote in a magazine if you are interested... she actually angered the medical community by speaking out.
What a heartbreaking situation. My prayers go out to him and his family....
Yes I'd enjoy reading the link. Gotta go to bed though. Big snow coming tomorrow and I have to go out before it hits.
Thanks for the chat. And I'll check for the link tomorrow.
Night! :-)
My sincere sympathy to you and your family...
Thanks for the great photo Dr. I know we can always count on you to find the best pictures, I don’t remember seeing this shot before.
Let's hope it's a daily ritual.
You’re welcome. So many sad stories...
Tomorrow I’m going outside in the snowstorm and be thankful I can shovel and enjoy the fresh, invigorating air.

Enjoy the snow, but don’t fall and stay safe.
Conservatives aren’t rude and devoid of respect for others. They don’t lecture others on how liberal they are. And they surely don’t view every statement or argument in political terms.
The original poster has every right to say and post what he says. I have every right to say and post what I say and how I view his post.
You have no right to lecture me on who or what I am in your view.
He was supposed to be on Leno this coming Monday night and Ellen next Thursday (to promote The Beast which premiers Thursday).

Good Morning smoochs
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.
Yes, he does sound like a good guy. Thanks for the mention of these things.
I am so annoyed by the celebrity culture these days, that I don’t pay attention to any of these people.
