**The 2008-09 BCS National Championship Game Thread**

Posted on 01/08/2009 11:15:31 AM PST by GOP_Raider

We've reached the final game of the college football season. I know that we've had some arguments regarding who really should be the national champion (and due to my own bias I've tried to stay away from it). But anyway, somebody decided #'s 1 and 2 for this game a long time ago and here they are.

The BCS National Championship Game: Florida vs. Oklahoma (8:00 pm, FOX) The last two Heisman trophy winners take to the turf for the waterford crystal shaped football from Sears (or at least it used to be from Sears). Leading up to this game, we've heard about who really should be the top ranked team and I'll say this. One, possibly both of these two teams can end any argument tonight. We know the offensive playmakers by now. Tim Tebow. Sam Bradford. Jermaine Gresham. Lewis Murphy. Juaquin Iglesias. But will the defenses even matter tonight?

OU offensive line putting UF on their backs. Chris Brown is eating up the Gator Defense.

Yeah, the MWC was a real down conference this year, just ask Alabama.

*chuckle* But while I'm thinking about it, I'm still amazed that UNLV was able to beat Arizona State this year. Of all of the W's the Mountain West got over the Pac this year, that one puzzles me more than all of them.

Fla. looks uncharacteristically slow and sluggish.

It’s rarely a picnic playing against the better teams from that conference. They all can throw, have innovative offenses and they have enough overall athleticism to beat anyone on a given day. Utah was physically better than Alabama, but you can bet that next year, a Pac 10 team loses to a MWC team and the SEC honks will be all over it.

Gator Percy Harvin is playing in front of his father for the first time. Pops has had drug problems.

The secondary was in a no-win situation. Play up at the line and the USC WRs run right by them. Play off, and let Sanchez pick them apart. A smallish secondary works fine in the BigTen, but not against a program like USC.

0 points off the Interceptions for OU. Not good.

UF Offensive isn’t being able to give Tebow time.

Nice game. Surprised it’s 7-7.

Stoops is gonna lose this game for OU with that stupid hurry-up-no-let’s-change-the-play-at-the-line offense. Just let the Sooners play!! Best O in the country and the coach is holding the stallions back!!

I’m speaking only for myself but I think Oklahoma should have gone for the FG.

3 points is beter than nothing - especially in a game like this.

LOL, keep arguing and looking idiotic. I know more about teams than you could even imagine. THe point of the matter is that even a middle of the road Pac team should beat the best MWC team based off of talent alone. You guys did not. And it all doesnt just begin and end with Utah either, they ahad a great season and deserve a share of the AP title but that doesn’t mean the entire conference is as good as them.

UF is having problems with the OU hurry up, no doubt about it.

Streams?

Use www.justin.tv

There are several steams going under the ‘sports’ category.

A good one is this:
