Texas, Ohio State feel they have much to prove in Fiesta Bowl

Texas Coach Mack Brown has a theory about bowl games.
"If the teams are fairly even, the team that wants to be there the most and has the edge and is more motivated usually wins," Brown said.
Third-ranked Texas would much rather be in Miami preparing to face Florida for the Bowl Championship Series title. But the Longhorns still have plenty of motivation against No. 10 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl tonight in Glendale, Ariz.
"Really, what's going through our minds is, 'Let's just put on a show, basically,' " Texas defensive end Brian Orakpo said. --snip--

Texas needs to win big to ensure a number two ranking. If they perform in a medicore way, or lose, you will be looking at Utah climbing way up, IMHO.

When did USC choke in a big game?
They do have trouble getting up for teams they should beat easily (Oregon St, Stanford), but have always done well in Big Games.

That was one of the greatest games I’ve seen. It’s the only football game I’ve ever burned to a DVD.
I usually root for all Big XII teams in their bowls, but the whole whining thing about the standings kinda turned me off to them.
I’ll leave it to Ohio State’s coach. If he’s wearing the sweater vest, I’m rooting for Texas. No sweater vest, go Buckeyes.
I hope MikeFromOhio will come back if they win.

I will root for the BUckeyes but I bet any chance that Texas will sleep walk through this game is gone with the Alabama loss to Utah.
As an aside is there anything to the idea that the Buckeyes are returning to the site of their nightmare (40-14 loss to UF).
Also if Beanie Wells has a great game he might go pro.
