This is another beautiful graphic, Meg.
Thank you for continuing to bring beauty to Amy’s Place.
Thank you, Dita.
I had to refrain myself from posting all of the beautful pictures. And the history, I wanted to share all of it with everyone.
We’ve been to several Missions but there are still some we need to see. Our first mission was Santa Barbara 51 years ago. :)
We have never been to the Santa Clara Mission. It would be fun to start in San Diego and visit each one.
Because of my interest in genealogy, I always visit the old cemeteries. Weird, I know.
Thank you, Jaycee.
It was a shock to get the call but now I need to let my cousin know that I am here whenever she needs me.
I cannot imagine what she is going through, worrying about her girls and thinking about herself and the things she needs to take care of.
Thank you, Billie
I really enjoyed the Mission Santa Clara and its history.
The rubber band snowman was a fun find. I should link to the sites where I find these graphics. There may be some interesting facts but most of the time, I just grab the image and run. LOL
I’ve considered removing Vista and installing XP on this computer.
There are so many things I don’t know how to do with Vista. I want my son to check another email program. Outlook Express freezes my computer.
Maybe someday all of these problems will be resolved. (fingers crossed).
Thank you, GG.
There were so many decorated cakes to choose from; it was a tough decision.
Was it going West to East or East to West?
I love my music too, Amy. This has just happened to me since my son overhauled the computer. It can be fixed. The music I can’t play is what is posted on our thread.
I use mine to play some C.D.’s when I’m working around in this room and the sound is as good as I could ask for. I believe its some little something that my son can set or unblock, etc. and then I can click on the music at Amy’s.
Anyway, I hope so.
To call God and us unequal partners is a laughable understatement. And yet by inviting us to do kingdom work on earth, God has indeed set up a kind of odd-couple alliance. God delegates work to human beings so that we do history together, so to speak. Clearly, the partnership has one dominant partnersomething like an alliance between Microsoft and a high school programmer.
We know well what happens when human beings form unequal alliances: the dominant partner tends to throw his weight around and the subordinate mostly keeps quiet. But God, who has no reason to be threatened by us, invites a steady and honest flow of communication.
I sometimes wonder why God places such a high value on honesty in our prayers, even to the extent of enduring unjust outbursts. I am startled to see how many biblical prayers seem ill-tempered. Jeremiah griped about unfairness (20:7-10); Habakkuk accused God of deafness (1:2); Job conceded, What profit do we have if we pray to Him? (21:15). The Bible teaches us to pray with blistering honesty.
God wants us to come to Him with our complaints. If we march through life pretending to smile while inside we bleed, we dishonor the relationship.
Tred of cold (-20 here right now)
Something for warmer thoughts, summer time dreams
The Tao of the Asphalt Way
Asphalt ribbon ever unwinding into a new dawn
two lane magnet of the soul and where its gone
Tire song and pipe voices sing of eternity
so well known by the two wheel fraternity
Chrome and steel, paint and leather friend
so a part of you and yet of itself a blend
Impersonal and personal engraved in your soul
and only the open road makes you really whole
Windburned skin and early morning chill’s touch
signal you’re alive, aware of throttle and clutch
Road warrior, nomad, traveler to a distant fate
seeking something around a curve, down the straight
Sorry I’m so far behind, my boss is out of the country so I’m working a lot. :)
Today~N~Food: Today is National Peach Melba Day! Enjoy one today if you can.
All your needs to Him make known;
Bring to Him your daily burdens

So very lovely and cheery, Billie! Cannot listen to “On Golden Pond” but it won’t be long now. My son has been here this morning. He and another co-worker decided I needed more memory. (the kind of memory you can buy). Don’t ask me too many questions as I am so computer illiterate, its pathetic. It has been ordered already and we should get it in 3-4 days.
My hard drive has 15 GIG free. He said my current memory is 245 megabytes and he is upgrading to 1 gigabyte as soon as it arrives. This language blows my mind. Too bad he couldn’t order (me) a little more memory....LOL! And I hope I’ve got all the numbers correct. (I made notes..)
She is a little young to be caught up in the Edward Cullen/Twilight hysteria, and I am thinking that Harry Potter is passe, but maybe not. I just don't hear much about the books or movies anymore.
One of my favorite movies even if Hanoi Barbarella does appear in it.
