I love the poem. Fairly familiar with Tolkien, I was surprised to see his name at the bottom of it. Just delightful.

That's weird. I went and got a truck load of wood this morning because the temperature is supposed to be brutal for the remainder of the week. I was just thinking a few minutes ago that I should take a picture of the fire and post it. You not only have the picture but a poem as well.
Cue the theme from TZ.

I know this particular song is a little different than what we normally present at Amy's Place, but I thought it would be nice to add a little Latin spice to warm up a cold winter's day.But except for Christmas music and Sunday music, I didn't think we had a "normal" kind. We've had a little everything, and as for me, I love the variety!
I heard a lot of criticism that he just can't sing, still, I like his music.......
Well, for someone who just can't sing, his music is nice to listen to! I enjoyed it. :)
P.S. I think you saai you have Taylor Hicks' "Early Works", and one track "Hold On To Your Love" has a very distinct Latin flavor to it. :)

Im sorry to say that I have not read his works. I know, I am probably the only person alive that hasnt read The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings (and more). After reading this poem, though, I may have to look into some of Tolkiens writings. No you're not! :)

What Yorkie said!!!:o) I don’t get what skimpy outfits have to do with reporting the news. Boobs everywhere on the boob tube.

Spooky. I had a Twilight Zone experience yesterday. I picked up a used copy of Tess of the D'Urbervilles yesterday, and last night it was shown on Masterpiece Theatre. I had NO IDEA of their planned schedule. Spooked me.

Speaking of birds....:)
This warm, sunny morning in L.A. (at last, at last), I had the patio door open so I could gaze outside while having coffee and breakfast.
Who should appear at the blooming white bird-of-paradise plant but a gorgeous, lovely hungry little hummingbird: WOO HOO!!! It’s feathers so green and shiny in the sunlight!!:^)
To: GodBlessUSA
You got the 1100, I got the 1150... WooHoo!!! LOL....
And, of course, we will miss each other...:(

Good morning, Rus. Thank you for another ODB lesson.
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your BIL.
My prayers are with you and your family.
It is very hard losing someone so young.
May God embrace your BIL's family during their time of grief.

I didn't think we had a "normal" kind. I guess we don't, but if we did, I doubt Enrique would fall into it....especially a song about a vampire. ;-)
P.S. I think you saai you have Taylor Hicks' "Early Works", and one track "Hold On To Your Love" has a very distinct Latin flavor to it. :)
Yes, I have it and I just played that song and, it does have a calypso beat to it. I had not noticed that before.
Jaycee, I know how frustrated you are that you can't play music. Here we are talking about this music and you can't hear it. I'm sorry............ but please, put down the brick and step away from the computer. You'll thank me later. ;-)

Her daughter called me yesterday to let me know that my cousin had been diagnosed with colon cancer which has spread to her liver. We were raised together as she is about 6 months younger than I am. Oh, no! Is it possible that they caught before it spread to any other organs? I sure hope and pray so.

Well... look who showed up!!
So, this is what it takes, huh Taz?:)
