You’re only as good as your last game.

Well I didn’t see that one coming. How long has he been in Denver 15 years? I guess when you blow a 3 game lead over the last 3 weeks you have set yourself up.

Shanahan has three years and over $20 million remaining on his contract.
To: A.A. Cunningham
He’ll be the first one hired out of all the jobs available if he wants it
To: BGHater
Both Zorn and J. Campbell need to be shown the door.....

The Bronocs had a 24-24 record over the last three seasons and Shanahan has worked either as an assistant or head coach for the Broncos for 21 years. Somewhere Dan Reeves is smiling.

Something tells me Detroit would kill for that kind of record.

The NFL gets curiouser and curiouser.
Reports state that the 2010 Pro Bowl will be in Miami and
one week before the Super Bowl!!How stupid is that?!
Who wants to go to Miami over Honolulu? Who wants to play in the Pro Bowl a week before the Super Bowl? Why are both in Miami?
Maybe if Bill Ford cared enough about the Lions he would hire Shanahan, give him unlimited powers and a guaranteed iron-clad, multi-year, no-matter-what, big-bucks contract, Detroit might reach real-NFL status!
Nah! I'm dreaming . . .

Poor player personnel decisions finally caught up with Shanahan. He could only live off of Elway’s laurels for so long. The Broncos have won only one playoff game since Elway retired in 1999. Schefter reports that the meeting between Bowlen and Shanahan lasted only five minutes.
To: SFR
He had a three game lead with three games to go, needing to win only one game to win the division and he blew it.
To: Sybeck1; BGHater
They could clone George Allen and Sammy Baugh, for all the good it'll do them. The Redskins won't be worth a bucket of warm spit as long as Snyder and Cerrato are in the picture. And that's coming from a 40 year+ 'Skins fan.

That’s retarded. After going 8-8 he gets fired? They won the division in 2005!

Ding, ding, ding, ding.....we have a winner! Shanahan has done zero playoff-wise since Elway left and we all know how he won those 2 Super Bowls (over the salary cap...wink, wink, Bowlen gets a slap on the wrist).
How is it that Denver seems to get all the really odd calls go their way....hmmmmm Mr. Hochuli????
The worm has turned......
