Poor kitty kat.
Charge Willet with trespassing and theft. This is ridiculous. the attorneys are loving it.
We have a racoon problem in our neighborhood. The traps used also tend to catch neighborhood cats. Identified cat owners get their cat back along with a notice to not let their cat roam at night, otherwise they will be fined. The racoons get released at the WMA down the road.
I have an escape artist cat(fixed). Neighbors decided to trap my cat. I went over and told em my cat was in their trap. They yelled about the cat getting in their garden etc etc. I asked them not to trap him, but if they see him in their yard at all don’t be afraid to soak him with the hose.
Cat doesn’t go over there anymore when he slips out of the house.
Our cats are all indoor-only rescued kitty cats. Because we knew they would appreciate some fresh air, we enclosed one of our patios (it’s now a “catio”) which lets them be outside, but safe and enclosed. Indoor-only cats live longer, safer lives.
Time for animal rescue orgainizations to step up to the plate in their resuce efforts. =^..^=
I hate cats in my yard.
I usually just throw things at them, but a trap would be a good idea, or an air rifle, but I never see them really, only the mess they make.
Some of them poop in my garden. Some of them dig things up. One of them even digs up bulbs - God only knows why...
The worst one died - or disappeared. He used to mark his territory - which included the air intake vent on my car and the basement window in my laundry. The smell is disgusting. I would have trapped or shot that one if I saw him again.
We have barn cats. All our neighbors have barn cats. These cats wander. I’ve come across neighbor cats in my barns eating my cats’ food, but hey, another mouser in the barn is another mouser in the barn! We all feel that way.
Having said that...
When we lived in the city, our next-door neighbor let her cat wander. It dug up our plants. Besides, we were one block away from a very busy street and 1/4 mile away from the DC Beltway. Allowing a cat to roam in such an area is irresponsible. After a while, the cat stopped coming around. A speeding car stopped his rambles. That didn’t have to happen.
What dummies.
A 220 Conibear trap in front of a hole in a cardboard box that contains something stinky in it and the fate of spook would have never been known.
Schmeckel the Terrible is not amused.
Ms Willet ought to keep her cat under control on a leash in her own yard, and stop imposing it upon her neighbors. Either that, or she should accept that her cat becomes roaming game for her neighbors to trap.
No sympathy from me.
Do like I do use the three “S” rule. Shoot, Shovel and Shut UP.
